Chinese Politics
Students write Essay II to prepare for the debate class on China’s one-child policy. The question for Essay II is “On balance, was the one-child policy a successful policy?”
The essay should be 3-5 pages, double-spaced, with 12-point Times New Roman font and 1-inch margins. Students should synthesize the readings and comprehend the materials.
Students are expected to develop and present clear and coherent arguments and their own perspectives on the questions.
Late essays will be penalized 10 points (out of 100) for each day of being late. The essays should Not be summaries of the readings, but the students perspectives on the issue.
