Taking into account all the assignments for this week – Equiano’s memoir, the video clip, the maps, and the article on the “Middle Passage,” answer the following.Describe, briefly, the “Middle Passage” as discussed in the article, Equiano’s memoir and as shown in the video clip.  How did Equiano’s experience of capture, transport and sale differ from (or was it the same as) Cinque’s(the character played by actor Djimon Hounsou  60 Djimon Hounsou ideas | djimon hounsou, actors, black is beautiful in the film clip)?  What parts of Equiano’s experience, in your opinion, were particular to his young age?  What did you find most striking or impactful about his description of what he was thinking/feeling as he experienced capture?  Do you think the fact that he was writing as an adult (with several years of “looking back” on the experience) made a difference in how he described the events?  Do you find his account believable?  Do you think he either exagerated or played-down certain parts of his expereience to appeal to the reader?
