For this assignment you will choose a strategy at either the Institutional/Organization level of the ecological model OR the Community level of the ecological model.Imagine you need to develop an intervention at the Institutional/Organization or Community level of the ecological model.  What would you include in the intervention? First, you need to create 2 Process and 2 Impact objectives for this strategy.  Essentially, what are you trying to accomplish?  These should be concise statements.  If you write more than 1 sentence for an objective, then you need to go back and re-read how to write SMART objectives. Why them?5.    How you will include the target group or other community members in your planning and implementation(helping design the program, give feedback for revisions, help with presentations, etc.)6.    What is your strategy for recruiting individuals to participate in your program?7.    If there is an educational component-How often will the program meet?  How long are the lessons? How long will the intervention strategy last? Over how many months/years?8.    If there is an environmental component-What would change in the environment? 9.    Also, consider who are the decision makers are that you would need approval from to do this intervention. This description needs to show that you understand how larger-scale interventions are created by this group and how these decisions are made. You should also discuss any opposition you expect to the proposed intervention and how you will work to counter that.*****Important Note-When we say interventions are done at the Institutional/Organization or Community level, this does not simply mean doing a health education intervention in a school, workplace, or community center.  In other words, just because the setting of the intervention is in the community, doesn’t make it a community intervention.  For an intervention to be at the Institutional/Organization or Community level, something has to change at the Institutional/Organization or Community level.
