In other words, you are making a case for your interpretation. Do not merely summarize the story or what happens in the story. Focus on a central idea to develop/explore within a text and support your analysis/interpretation Support for your interpretation: Support/evidence should come mostly from the text itself and two credible and reliable sources (required). When you cite from your sources (even the story itself), you must enclose all borrowed material in quotation marks, according to MLA style. Example: Ozicks narrator portrays Stella as Cold, cold, the coldness of hell (123). Formatting/Other: Essays should be typed, double-spaced, Times New Roman 12 point font. The length should be 4 (no reference pages counted). Follow MLA documentation for all other formattings. Please also include a Works Cited page that cites the Literature textbook and the additional sources you use according to MLA. the Works Cited does not count as one of the four pages so that I mark 5 pages. I specified 10 sources but use what you consider necessary, they may be less or more.
