Energy Assessment Proposal

InstructionsYou’re an energy management consultant who’s been asking to help a small university start their path towards better energy management. The scope of work being asked by the customer is to find out where and how energy is being used and a high level assessment of energy management opportunities at their facility.Your proposal should include:Your pitch or value statement on the benefits of completing an energy assessment;Your understanding of the scope the customer is asking you to complete;A detailed methodology on how you will complete the assessment;A table of contents of your proposed energy study;A timeline of the proposed project;Your proposed costs to complete the student. Include your hourly and fixed costs (Tip: This is a good exercise to determine what your competitors may charge for a service, so that you can set your own fees. Consider conducting an internet search on the average cost of a commercial energy assessment, subtracting 10-15% for fixed costs (travel and incidentals), then divide by the number of hours you expect to work on the project); and,A discussion on what further investigation or energy management program development activities could be completed following the initial energy assessment scope; Your proposal should be a brief as possible (customers do not want to read long proposals), be APA formatted and referenced.
