Humans on the Marine Environment

For this paper you will use one or more of the class readings from any part of the course, along with at least two sources not assigned in class and not used in your group project, to talk about some aspect of the historical impact of humans on the marine environment. While you must explain how this human impact has happened and/or its importance or relevance, you should also include some historiographical analysis (an evaluation of how well your chosen source(s) support or present information for your topic). One easy way to do this is to look for sources that don’t present the same view of the topic or disagree with each other, so that you can then explain which version you think seems more accurate or reasonable. How much do we know about this particular historical impact? What other research might need to be done to supplement this knowledge for a good historical understanding?Here is a link for a reading for the class.
