[SOLVED] Columbus in Historical Memory
Im stuck on a History question and need an explanation.
Given what we have learned about the world of the fifteenth and
sixteenth centuries, how might we adjust our appraisal of Columbus
Discovery of America? How does the historical record vs popular
memory shape our understanding? It is reasonable that the United States
of America should build statues of Columbus; name streets and cities and
dedicate a day as a holiday in his honor?
There’s two questions, please answer both. No format is needed because its a discussion question.
