Rural Police Department

You are a member of a small rural police department consisting of 30 sworn members, with a limited budget. Your chief administrator has tasked you with researching new police technology and asked you to provide recommendations.  Task: You are required to write a justification for each piece of technology selected.  Of all the techniques discussed in the course which would you recommend?  Provide at least three (3) pieces of police technology and identify the criterion that you would use when purchasing the technology and provide a brief explanation for each.  In other words, what would you pick and why?  As part of your analysis include the following: Step 1 – Justification (reasons for the purchase). Step 2 – Budget (how much would each item cost). Step 3 – Ensure each member receives the necessary training. Step 4 – Steps that you would recommend to ensure the chosen technology is being utilized by members of your organization. Step 5 – A metric to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of that technology. Research should include a minimum of two scholarly journals, not including your textbook. (News sources may be used only for examples / Non-scholarly Internet sites should not be used for your research)
