Quantitative Methods

Associated Objective: Understand the basics of quantitative methods and various tools and techniques used to solve problems Research recent business news and identify two businesses that could benefit from the quantitative techniques described in this week’s readings. For each business: Identify the problem Suggest which methods and tools might be most appropriate Provide an explanation of why you think those methods and tools would be beneficial for the business This discussion forum is worth 50 points. The discussion facilitates student-faculty, student-content, and student-student interaction. Students are required post thoughtful responses incorporating ideas from their readings, examples from professional experience, and contemporary issues. A rubric will be used to grade the discussion posts, a copy of which is appended towards the end of the syllabus.  Initial post: Initial post must be 300 to 400 words in length or a minimum of about ten (10) sentences Be thoughtful and substantive Respond to discussion prompt and demonstrate higher-order thinking (apply, analyze, synthesize, evaluate, examine, pose, or connect course concepts to business) Use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation Provide at least two references other than the textbook used. References could be any published research papers and/or Online sources and/or YouTube links. Follow APA formatting and documentation guidelines when referring to course readings and other materials.
