Watch one of the videos at https://www.storyofstuff.org/movies/. Then, read What Is An Academic Argument? In either a 1-2 paragraph essay or numbered list form, respond to the prompt below. Essay Prompt: Answer the questions below. Make sure to use evidence from the video and the article on the topic that you located.
1. What is the argument being presented in the video you chose?
2. What specific visual elements of the video you chose work to support or enhance central claim?
3. Relate three examples (statistics, stories, explanations, definitions, details) that are used by the video to support its argument. (A specific example is something like “According to the video, 33% of Americans buy single-use plastic bottles daily.” A specific example is NOT “Many people buy plastic water bottles.” Because the second sentence uses general terms such as “many people,” it’s a general idea, not a specific example.)
