Family Violence

In this class, we have covered many issues relating to family violence.  As you have learned, there are many misconceptions about these topics.  One way to dispel the myths and address the problems associated with family violence is to educate people about these complex areas.   For this project you will design an informational program aimed at educating a certain population about one aspect of family violence.      Part I–8 points: This will be submitted as the Discussion Board for Week 11 due Tuesday, November 17.   For Part 2 see the Final Project tab on the course menu. Initial Post-This should be approximately two paragraphs: Choose a topic in the field.  A few examples:  date rape, stalking, child sexual abuse, failure to thrive.  Explain why you have chosen the topic you selected.  Please get your topic approved by me. Identify the audience you will seek to reach.  Explain why you have chosen the group you selected.  Examples:  College students, young parents, caregivers, child care workers, the general public, etc. Explain where you would hold such a presentation and how you would reach out to potential attendees. Make an outline of topics and subtopics you will cover. Response Post: Comment on a project idea of another student. Your response post should be two to three sentences.
