Diversity And Inclusivity

Bloom Film Festival (Imaginary film festival)  “Bloom” is an imaginary film festival targeted towards the youth. Inspired by urgent calls for racial justice in 2020, your team is dedicating the film festival to themes that speak of diversity and inclusion.  You are working with the Bloom-team to create a grant proposal application, and you’re task is to discuss the merit of the project:  Selected films to be shown:  Dope (2015) – Rick Famuyiwa  The Darkest Minds (2018) – Jennifer Yuh Nelson The Sun Is Also A Star (2019) – Ry Russo-Young Everything, Everything (2017) – Stella Meghie The Hate You Give (2018) – George Tillman Jr.  Your task is to discuss the merit of the project- Minimum 500 words  Explain how your proposed festival is designed to expand the public’s knowledge of and appreciation for diversity and inclusion in Hollywood.  Why is it valuable to shine a greater spotlight on these films/filmmakers/performers?
