Discuss how and when to correctly cite a direct quote, including citation examples demonstrating the distinctions between short quotes of less than 40 words and long quotes of 40 or more words. iv. Connect your discussion of scholarly writing to a discussion of professional ethics, as it applies to the inclusion of and citing the work of others. v. Discuss what you learned from reading Capella’s Academic Integrity and Honesty policy, including about collaborating with or using the work of others (in-person or online) to intentionally violate this policy. vi. Discuss how completing coursework with a heavy reliance on someone else’s work negatively impacts opportunities to learn. vii. Discuss how not gaining mastery in these writing skills and ethical considerations might negatively impact your future work in the field and profession. viii.
