America- A Land of Opportunities

Need answers for all these questions —America has often been described a “a land of opportunity.” Based upon what we have studied thus far, what is wrong with that description?

Use your new historical skills to analyze the documents we have studied in this unit to add some nuance to that description. Opportunity for whom? Or for what?

Would Native Americans agree with that description? How about enslaved peoples from Africa, indentured servants from England? British colonists like Jonathan Edwards and his congregation?
