Assignment: Presentation and Social Perception
From your perspective, how does the material in your textbook on the topics of self-presentation and social perception relate to the passage from Matthew 7:3-5, in which Jesus asks: Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brotherss eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, Let me take the speck out of your eye,s when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brotherss eye.

What is social perception in psychology?
Social perception (or person perception) is the study of how people form impressions of and make inferences about other people as sovereign personalities. People learn about others feelings and emotions by picking up information they gather from physical appearance, verbal, and nonverbal communication.
