Read the selection from Chris Isham. He quotes Eddington and Borges. What do these quotes mean? What is their significance vis-à-vis quantum mechanics? What implications does it have for the role of humans in the study of the world? Think about Kant, Neurath’s Boat, (look it up), Bohr’s notion of complementarity, John Wheeler’s It from Bit, (google it) and the Consistent Histories interpretation. This might very well apply to other disciplines than physics.
