You are to pick an actor or a director whose work you admire and write a 2 to 3 page paper about their craft.  Actors will be easier to use than directors, but I leave it up to you.  Again, the more popular they are, the easier it will be to find information on them.  It would be terrific if they work on stage as well as film, but not necessary.  The paper should cover the following: For an Actor- • Basic bio information. • Internal versus external. • Use of their voice and body (physiological). • Use of their imagination (psychological). • Use of their emotion. • Kinds of characters played, plays (films) acted in. • Style/Genre of plays (films) acted in. • Are they known for being easy to work with/hard to work with?  Collaboration.

The YouTube link is: After watching the videos, please go to discussion on Classes, (Activities—Discussions) and answer these questions: Which elements in image making do you find most compelling; line, shape, form, texture? Which organizational principles create images that you respond to most; balance, repetition, variety, simplification, contrast, etc.?  You may mention specific images shown in the first video that you really liked.
