Opinion on the inevitability of Great Power rivalries in the international system
I find the article by Christopher Layne, The Unipolar Illusion: Why New Great Powers will Rise and it was published by the MIT Press to be quite convincing as it looks at the issue of great power rivalries in the international system from different perspectives, the first one from a unipolar point of view and secondly, from a bipolar point of view.
As we know, America is considered or rather considers itself as the worlds greatest nation. This status seemed to have been acquired after the collapse of the Soviet Union, which was seen as a major competitor in the international relations. In this article, Christopher Layne argues that just after the end of the cold war, America stepped up to claim this new position and has been strategizing since then on how to prevent other would be superpowers form attaining such a state. As a matter of fact, the American government is interested in countries that can partner within and support its initiatives. It is indeed true that unipolarity favors the United States and this is one reason why I find this article to be quite convincing. Zeroing on the American foreign policy, it seems to support unipolarity and any nation that advocates for this. Then there is the leaked document by the Pentagon Defense Planning Guidance that clearly showed the interest of the American government in discouraging other nations from overturning the established political order or challenging their authority. The document may seem quite controversial but it sheds light into the minds of the American government as far as international relations are concerned.
Another way to prove this is the way the US has been handling the Iran nuclear deal. Well, all the major countries in the world have been urging the US not to scrap the Iran Nuclear deal. President Trump wants to scrap the deal but all the other world leaders are against this. The simple explanation of this can only be that American wants to advance its policies and is not interested in what others have to say about it. The Iran Nuclear deal is a threat to the US because it may give Iran superiority which President Trump thinks may endanger the position of the US in International relations. Otherwise, why would American not listen to the advice from other countries such as UK, France, and Germany?
I believe that a greater power rivalry will be inevitable in the near future. American attained that position in the international relations because at the time its economy was the best and thus it has resources to deploy the best military equipment and so forth. However, things have now changed and we have Chinas economy being the fastest growing in the world. This means that China can easily be able to afford the best military technology and deploy the best military equipment in the past and this may change the game in the world relations. Such will lead to a greater rivalry in the near future as we know that American will not support any country that seems to undermine its authority.

Cyber-Stalking Legislation
Cyber-Stalking Legislation

Cyber-Stalking Legislation
California was the first state in the United States to enact stalking legislation in 1990. Currently, all 50 states and the federal government have statutes that attempt to address these types of crimes. Yet many of these statutes fail to address stalking via the Internet and many cyber-stalking crimes go unprosecuted. California also was the first state to enact cyber-stalking legislation in 1999. As states attempt to enact new legislation related to cyber-stalking, many issues arise due to potential conflicts with civil rights, such as freedom of speech and right to privacy.
For this Discussion, refer to the web resource State Cyberstalking, Cyberharrassment and Cyberbullying Laws to research any cyber-stalking laws within your state of residence. If you do not reside in the United States., research cyber-stalking laws in your country of residence. Think about the degree to which these laws are effective for protecting victims and deterring offenders. Then consider any limitations that exist in current legislation related to cyber-stalking.
Post by Day 4 a description of any cyber-stalking laws in your state (or country of residence if outside the United States). Then explain whether or not the law(s) you identified are effective for protecting victims and deterring offenders. Finally, explain any limitations that exist in current legislation related to cyber-stalking.

Target Marketing: Shaynas Fashion Boutique
Shayna has been designing clothing and accessories since she was a little girl. She learned to make doll dresses with her mothers sewing machine. She graduated from UNA with a double major in Fashion Design and Marketing. She did not see any jobs that interested her, so she asked her Dad to help start a new store when she would sell the clothing that she designs and produces. Now that she has been in business for a few years, she has been thinking about applying some of the things she learned in marketing. She has been having trouble pricing her different clothes and actually figuring out how much profit she is making.
From her analysis of her business she knows that teenagers love her clothes. Her tops and dresses are quite unique and the girls that buy them are pleased that no one else has he same clothes. She has noticed that many of the students from the University like her accessories and top combinations and that the students are willing to pay more compared to the teens. One of the sororities has asked her to design a set of pendants to wear for formals. She has also a large group of single and married females who frequent her store and buy the more expensive products. This group of 24 to 35 year olds shops the most and buys more of the specialist items like matching handbags.
Relative to profit, she is making the most from the 24-35 year olds but that group is very selective and sometimes does not buy her recent designs. The teenagers are less selective and will buy just about anything on sale. The University students are more likely to buy less unique designs that produced in multiple lots e.g., ten tops with similar color combinations.
The more Shayna analyses the target market the more confused she gets. She has decided to call Dr. Armstrong to get his current class of students to help her identify her best target market.
ATTENTION: Read case as below then ? MUST!!! Combine PPT!!!? to answer those three Questions:(it is necessary to include outside research (outside the textbook and lecture notes) in your discussion. The grading rubric includes 30% outside research (outside the textbook and lecture notes) , 35% content (related to answers), and 35% application of course material.)
Questions:
1.What bases of segmentation should Shayna use?
2.Develop a matrix to reflect potential profiles of Shaynas market.
3.Estimate demand for the resulting profiles.
4.Select the best profile and develop a resulting marketing mix.

Reducing the Price of Health Care
The focus in health care reform is cost control in light of annual double-digit inflation since the late 1990s and the consumption of nearly 17% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in 2009 (more than any other country in the world). The debate is over how to reduce the rate of spending for health care while preserving quality and access to care for patients. Research at least 2 methods of reducing the percentage of the GDP spent on health care. You will need to be able to describe how you would do this in specific terms. This can be a number of approaches, such as the following:
Completely dismantle the current system and start overA monumental task
Revise the current payment system to reflect current economic constraints
Cut Medicare and Medicaid
Insurance reform
National health insurance based on the Massachusetts Model
Malpractice reform
Legislation such as the Balanced Budget Act of 1997, the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003, the Affordable Care Act (2010), and others
Provide the following elements in your paper:
Describe the model you are supporting to best control costs without compromising the quality and access to health care, and explain how the model works.
Analyze the method that you are supporting, detailing the strengths and weaknesses from all stakeholder group (e.g., patient, provider, and third-party payer) perspectives.
Provide an example of the model in real time or as a scenario.
Summarize the anticipated results in terms of costs and benefits.
Please submit your assignment.

Budgeting
A budget always starts with a request. There are often negotiations and times where the administration must justify the organizations needs. If the budget is not justifiable, it may not be approved or may simply be cut.
In a 1.5-2 page Essay, please respond to the following prompts:
Explain the process that a budget must go through to gain approval. In local government or a local police department, who approves the budget?
What steps are made in deciding whether a budget will be approved or not?
