The learning cycle requires the educator to prepare for and instruct students, identifying how their students learn best, the purpose of learning, and appropriate ways to engage students. Having an understanding of instructional design to include standards, objectives, instruction, and assessment better supports alignment in classroom learning. Each component of the learning cycle is a key step in meeting the instructional requirements of learning.
For this assignment, research the components of the learning cycle. Complete Instructional Design Topic 1: The Learning Cycle within the “Instructional Design Unit” template by clearly defining the different stages of the cycle.
Additionally, in 250-500 words, discuss the following in the Learning Cycle Summary portion of the template(ATTACHED BELOW):
- How the learning cycle is developmentally appropriate and promotes growth for young students.

- Focus on the content and what message you want to get across to the board.

- Keep the background consistent and subtle.
- Use only enough text when using charts or graphs to explain; clearly label the graphic.
- Keep the design clean and uncluttered. Leave empty space around the text and graphics.
- Check the spelling and grammar.
Organization
- The number of slides per module should be about 10-15.
- Prepare and submit the sectional/modular slides for each module, adding the preceding ones (i.e., in Module 2 you will combine and submit sections 1 and 2, and so on.
- Amend each section per the feedback you will get from your instructor.
- Finally, you will aggregate all sections into one complete and comprehensive PPT following the SLP framework detailed below, and submit together by the due date of Module 4.

Improving Communication Competence Paper
Purpose of the Paper
All of us, no matter how learned or skilled in the field of communication, still experience problems communicating interpersonally with others to some degree, so we need to find ways to increase our competence as communicators. By completing this paper I hope you will gain both confidence and ability to more effectively deal with interpersonal communication problems in the future.
Specifics of the Paper
In this paper, you will: (1) describe an aspect of interpersonal communication that you recognize as being an area of needed improvement for yourself, (2) use theories and concepts from our textbook and/or class lectures to analyze why you might encounter some of the communication problems that you experience, (3) again, using theories and concepts from reading and/or online lectures, describe an action plan for improving communication competence in that area that youve discussed.
Selecting a Topic Area
One way to proceed with this paper is to think of situations where you find it difficult to engage in communication or to achieve your communication goals. For example, maybe you find it difficult not to compete during interpersonal conflict, maybe youre just not sure how to disclose feelings in a relationship that is important to you, or maybe you dont know how to effectively listen to a child or parent.
Another suggestion is to make notes of topics discussed in your text with which you can personally identify. For example, after reading the text you may realize that you use language in unconventional ways, possibly in detrimental ways. Or, after reading about nonverbal communication, you realize that you misinterpret a friends facial expressions a great deal.
Format of the paper
