NRS433V Week 5 Research Critiques and PICOT Statement Final Draft
I need help with a Nursing question. All explanations and answers will be used to help me learn.
Research Critiques and PICOT Statement Final Draft |
Prepare this assignment as a 1,500-1,750 word paper using the instructor feedback from the previous course assignments and the guidelines below.
PICOT Question
Revise the PICOT question you wrote in the Topic 1 assignment using the feedback you received from your instructor.
The final PICOT question will provide a framework for your capstone project (the project students must complete during their final course in the RN-BSN program of study).
Research Critiques
In the Topic 2 and Topic 3 assignments, you completed a qualitative and quantitative research critique on two articles for each type of study (4 articles total). Use the feedback you received from your instructor on these assignments to finalize the critical analysis of each study by making appropriate revisions.
The completed analysis should connect to your identified practice problem of interest that is the basis for your PICOT question.
Refer to “Research Critiques and PICOT Guidelines – Final Draft.” Questions under each heading should be addressed as a narrative in the structure of a formal paper.
Proposed Evidence-Based Practice Change
Discuss the link between the PICOT question, the research articles, and the nursing practice problem you identified. Include relevant details and supporting explanation and use that information to propose evidence-based practice changes.
General Requirements
Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.
Problem Brainstorming
Im trying to study for my Sociology course and I need some help to understand this question.
Patience, an old saying goes, is a virtue. This week you will be applying the slow hunch to your own life. Begin by identifying a problem of some kind in your personal or professional life that stands in need of a solution. This could be something as mundane as figuring out how to fix a leaky faucet within a fixed budget, or it can be something as significant as finding a new home or buying a new car.
Spend several days thinking about how you can tackle the problem at hand. Along the way, you will be writing a mini journal in which you record and monitor your day-to-day progress towards developing a solution. As new ideas come to mind, write them down. If you do research, make note of it and provide the details. If an idea turns out to be unfeasible, make note of it and explain why. At the end of your journal, you should include a short reflection essay in which you reflect on the progress youve made during your brainstorming period. How did taking your time influence the quality of your thinking? Did building on each days thoughts improve your thinking?
Note: you should spent at least three days on this assignment. As such, this is not an assignment that can be completed at the last minute or done in one sitting. You should give yourself plenty of time to brainstorm and let your mind ruminate.
Tip: Although the slow hunch is more of a process than a moment, there are factors that can speed up the development of a solution. The presence of an open and interconnected environment is one such factor. The more minds working together, the faster things will progress. Just imagine working on a puzzle by yourself versus working on it with a group of friends. Which is faster? For your assignment, you might consider soliciting input from friends, family, or even your classmates.
Your essay must be written following APA Guidelines. It should be 2-3 pages in length, not including your title page and references.

Pediatric Health Maintenance Exam and PPE
Can you help me understand this Health & Medical question?
Initial posts must contain at least 3 evidence based references, be in APA 6th edition format and contain at least 200 words.
The foundation of pediatric healthcare visits, both sick and well, starts with a thorough health history; from the data collected, an accurate physical examination and diagnosis can be made. Primary care healthcare visits are an integral part of ensuring the health and well-being of the child. In children that participate in sports, a pre-participation physical examination (PPE) is required and may be the only contact the healthy child has with their healthcare provider.
Pick a topic to present
Topic 1: What are the different types of pediatric health histories? When would you use each specific type?
Topic 2: What is the review of systems (ROS)? In a SOAP note, where does the ROS belong? What is the relationship between the ROS and the physical exam?
Topic 3: Shelby is a 5-year-old female, brought to the clinic by her parents and will be starting kindergarten in the fall. The parents state that she needs her physical and shot record to register her for school. The parents state that she has been healthy and voice no concerns although Shelby is scared about the exam and vaccines. How would you address Shelbys fear of the exam and vaccines? What age-appropriate screenings and lab tests are recommended for Shelby? What immunizations will Shelby require, if any?
Topic 4: Peyton is a 2-month-old female brought to the clinic by her 18-year-old mother for her health maintenance exam. What should the physical examination focus on for this child? What immunizations are due, if any? What age-appropriate anticipatory guidance topics should be discussed with mom?
Topic 5: George is a 12-year-old male brought to the clinic by his father and wants to start playing football and needs a preparticipation physical examination (PPE). He is an established patient in your practice and his last health maintenance exam was at 11 years of age. In reviewing his health history, you note that he has sickle cell trait but otherwise healthy. During his exam, you auscultate a Grade I murmur, and the remaining exam is normal. Dad asks if you will clear George to start football practice tomorrow. Would you clear George? Why or why not? Are there any specialists George needs to see before clearance? What are some of the preventive measures you would discuss with George and his father related to playing sports, specifically football?
Which type of firm would you rather work for?One who lays people off, or one that cuts everyones hours?Please use marginal analysis (ref. chapter 1) in your reasoning, and back up any claims you make with some documentation.
I need help with a Economics question. All explanations and answers will be used to help me learn.
Unemployment can be a major social problem. In early 2019 the unemployment rate in Bosnia was 34%.
By comparison, in 1933, the worst year of the great depression, the unemployment rate in the United States was 24.75%.
Unemployment increases when the amount of work that needs to be done in an economy decreases. Businesses notice this first when they get fewer orders for goods and services. When firms have less work to do, they need fewer workers, and they typically layoff some of their employees. However, firing workers is not the only option; a firm could just trim everyones hours instead.
For example, imagine a firm needs 20% fewer labor hours because a recession has decreased the demand for their product. The firm could achieve this 20% reduction by laying off 20% of its workforce, or it could achieve this by keeping everyone employed, but reducing everyones hours by 20%.
From the business owners perspective, one point in favor of the terminating jobs approach is that, although recessions are bad for business, when businesses trim their work force, typically the least productive workers get laid off first, and often firms emerge from recessions stronger for having shed workers who shirk their duties. Even today, following the recession of 2008, unemployment remains high but much of Corporate America is as profitable as ever.
From the employees perspective, there are some tradeoffs here. If the employer lays off 20% of the workers, those who remain may feel insecure about the stability of their job, although they maintain their full pay. On the other hand, if the employer doesnt lay anyone off, and instead cuts everyones hours by 20%, all employees remain employed, but earn less money.
- Which type of firm would you rather work for?One who lays people off, or one that cuts everyones hours?Why?Think about the tradeoffs involved.Please use marginal analysis (ref. chapter 1) in your reasoning, and back up any claims you make with some documentation.
- If a law was passed that required all firms to cut hours instead of lay people off, so that everybody was guaranteed a job and only hours worked fluctuated (instead of experiencing joblessness), what do you think the economic consequences would be? Specifically:;
- Do you have any thoughts on how (and why) this might affect the duration and severity of recessions? This is a topic well cover in coming chapters.
- What do you think the long-term implications on the health of the economy would be? Think about what effect this policy would have on workers effort level, and therefore productivity over time.
- Finally, would this sort of policy cause any other social problems or issues?
Please use economic reasoning in your response, and include a link to a website or article that passes the CRAAP Test (Links to an external site.) as evidence to support your position. After you respond to the initial prompt, please respond to the post of at least one classmate, and try to convince the individual (and the class) that your position is reasonable.
Differences between Psychological egoism and Enlightened ethical egoism
Im working on a Philosophy exercise and need support.
In 500 words or more (no less), explain the difference between psychological egoism and enlightened ethical egoism. You may use examples, but you will still need to include a full scholarly definition of each, with commentary. You may use any scholarly source other than a dictionary. You may use Wikipedia as a starting point, but be aware that Wikipedia is not a scholarly source and therefore can never be quoted in your paper or counted as 1 of your 5 bibliographic citations. You will need to include inline citations in your essay (last name, date, pg#) and must still cite any sources beyond the five required that you use to write your paper in the references section of your essay. If you include an inline citation, there must be a corresponding entry in the reference list or bibliography. (Reference/citation must be in APA format).
****Here are the recommended sources
-Internet Encyclopedia of philosophy
-Stanford encyclopedia of philosophy
-Google scholar, the philosopher’s index, PhilPapers, Micosoft Academic, BASE, or Mendeley.
***** The sources should all be academic sources
You are required to submit a separate annotated bibliography. Using the resource center and the scholarly research tools I listed in the course introduction, for your research. With that information, create an annotated bibliography with 5 sources related to the ethical theory of the week. (Using the recommended sources above as well)

Memo to CIO on Success Criteria for Enterprise System Implementation and Enterprise Architecture
Im studying and need help with a Writing question to help me learn.
Memo to CIO on Success Criteria for Enterprise System Implementation and Enterprise Architecture
Purpose of this Assignment
This assignment gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to research, evaluate, and explain enterprise systems, and to communicate effectively at the executive level. This assignment specifically addresses the following course outcomes:
- analyze and examine how enterprise architecture and enterprise systems influence, support, and enable an organization’s ability to contribute to strategic decision making and to respond and adapt to the business environment
- analyze enterprise system solutions to make recommendations based on benefits, limitations, and best fit within the enterprise environment
- analyze and explain the elements of a successful plan for implementing enterprise solutions, addressing structure, processes, culture, and other considerations
- analyze success criteria for higher application to enterprise architecture
Assignment
Your instructor has assigned each group one of several types of enterprise systems (ERP, SCM, CRM, etc.) to research and prepare a paper and an executive-level informational presentation. In Group Project 1, your team prepared a 2-3 page paper summarizing the case studies, evaluating the success of the implementations, and identifying lessons learned. For this assignment, you are to work independently and write a 1-2-page memo (not including references page) to the CIO that identifies more than seven success criteria for implementation of enterprise systems, for the category of enterprise systems assigned to your group (SCM) (NOTE: More than seven success criteria are required to receive all possible points; see Grading Rubric below.)
- Each of these success criteria should be briefly explained and then related to how they would be applied during an implementation of the assigned category of enterprise systems within the CIOs organization.
- Discuss how each of the success criteria relates, on a larger scale, to satisfying the enterprise architecture. Some areas to consider include the structure of the organization and its processes and culture; other aspects of a proposed implementation relate to the phases of the system development life cycle (needs analysis, design, development, implementation, maintenance).
- The case studies your group is using may be a good source of ideas. The criteria you identify must be applicable to enterprise systems (in the category assigned to your group) and should come from your research.
Important: Often students write this memo from the perspective of what it looks like to have a successful implementation of ES/EA. Instead, the focus should be on the criteria that will help you be successful! There is a difference here. For example, cost savings is the result but not necessarily the success criteria leading up to it. Now you could contribute cost savings to the fact that you had executive buy-in with sustained sponsorship (this could be an example) or other criteria that includes re-engineering of business processes as contributors. Please orient this memo such that you look at success criteria as the “drivers” for a good implementation. Also, please remember to put this into a memo format that looks professional. Please remember that the CIO has limited time and you should get to the key points quickly. Please refer to the grading rubric and carefully follow the assignment instructions!
You are to use a Microsoft Word memo template. The use of
at least three external scholarly resources (in addition to your case studies and other class materials) is required. (NOTE: More than three external resources are required to receive all possible points; see Grading Rubric below.) You should use
scholarly journals (rather than Wikipedia and authorless website postings).
Instructions:
- use of at least three external scholarly resources (in addition to your case studies and other class materials)
- You should use scholarly journals
- APA format follow strictly
- Follow the grading Rubric for better grades
writing homework
Im trying to learn for my Writing class and Im stuck. Can you help?
1.Read + Find/Summarize an Article
For this Discussion, please begin by reading at least 3 of the following “popular” articles, all of which are related (either directly or indirectly) to the theme of our course:
this Pacific Standard (Links to an external site.) article on the causes of the decline of labor unions in the US;
this New York Review of Books (Links to an external site.) article on delivery Apps and delivery workers;
this Pew Research Center (Links to an external site.) article on the decline of manufacturing jobs in the US (even as productivity/output has grown);
this Science Magazine (Links to an external site.) article about university graduate students’ attempts to unionize;
this VOX (Links to an external site.) article about the new California law, AB 5 (you might also check out this even more recent Tech Crunch (Links to an external site.) article about the response to AB 5 from Uber and Postmates);
this essay (Links to an external site.) by Jason Smith in the Brooklyn Rail about the history of automation.
Once you’ve read these articles, choose something from one of them that stood out or interested you. This could be a keyword from the article, a problem the article discussed, a policy or law that was mentioned, a court case…anything. Next, plug this keyword, term, or phrase into Google and find a different “popular” articlei.e., an article from a source like the New York Times, the Atlantic Monthly, the LA Times, the Guardian, NPR, etc.that deals with this keyword or a related subject. Read the article and then write a brief, 6-8 sentence summary of it. Make sure that you describe the central problem that your article addresses as clearly as possible! Then post the link to the article as well as your summary below.
(If you read the articles above and would prefer to explore/research something elsei.e., a key word that sparked your interest during our class meetings, or one of the Vocabulary terms, or something from the chapters of Temp that we’ve readgo for it! The important thing is that you start exploring “problems” related to the theme of our course.)
2. Chapter Synopses
For each chapter of Temp that we read over the weekendi.e., Chapters 1, 2, and 3please write a brief, 200-250 word synopsis. You might consider answering the following questions: What are the main historical events that Hyman discusses in the chapter? What is the chapter’s main theme? Does Hyman write about any problems that you find interesting or that seem worth exploring further? What seems to be each chapter’s main argument, and how does this argument relate to the argument of the book as a whole?
My advice is to treat these synopses both as a helpful way to remember what takes place in each chapter of Temp and as a way to begin thinking about the kinds of questions you might want to address in your Contexts Project….
3. vocabulary
Please write 2-3 sentences in which you define the 10 terms, laws, policies, practices, institutions, and historical movements/moments/processes listed below. Please do not simply copy-and-paste the first few sentences of the Wikipedia article (though Wikipedia might be where you start your research). Try to go deeper. What is the most important thing for you to understand about these terms? How do they relate to Hyman’s argument in Temp? For the historical terms, do they point toward a pressing political/social/economic problem that exists in the present? If so, which one(s)?
As with Vocabulary I , the point of this assignment is to begin building a vocabulary so that we can understand the context for the argument that Hyman is making in Temp. The more fully you understand these terms now, the easier the reading (and your research, too) will become!
1) Wage Stagnation in the U.S.
2) M-Form Corporation (Multidivisional Corporation)
3) Section 7(a) of the National Industrial Recovery Act of 1933
4) United Auto Workers strike (1936 and 2019!)
5) AB 5 (new California law)
6) Bracero Program
7) Taft-Hartley Act of 1947
8) Fight for $15 Movement
9) Jobless Recoveries
10) Universal Basic Income
