Evaluating Program Quality
Im studying for my Writing class and dont understand how to answer this. Can you help me study?
Instructions
Before submitting your Assessment, carefully review the rubric. This is the same rubric the assessor will use to evaluate your submission and it provides detailed criteria describing how to achieve or master the Competency. Many students find that understanding the requirements of the Assessment and the rubric criteria help them direct their focus and use their time most productively.
This assessment has two-parts. Click each of the items below to complete this assessment.
Part I: Program Assessment Tools
Access the following to complete this Assessment:
- Document #1: Walden Field Letter. You may wish to provide the program you choose with this letter from Walden Universitys Program Director for the Master of Science in Early Childhood Studies.
- Document #2: NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards and Accreditation Criteria Overview
- Document #3: NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards and Accreditation Criteria
- Document #4: NAEYCs Engaging Diverse Families Self-Assessment Checklist
- Website: NAEYC Accredited Program Search
Review the NAEYC’s Early Childhood Program Standards and Accreditation Criteria (Document #3) and the NAEYC Engaging Diverse Families Project Program Self-Assessment Checklist (Document #4) provided as part of this Work Product. In a 1- to 2-page paper:
- Explain the purpose of the NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards and Accreditation Criteria and the importance of using them to for assessing program quality.
- Explain how the NAEYC Engaging Diverse Families Self-Assessment Checklist is a useful tool in program evaluation.
Part II of your Assessment requires that you use the NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards and Accreditation Criteria and the NAEYC Engaging Diverse Families Self-Assessment Checklist to evaluate an early childhood program. Using the NAEYC Accredited Program Search, begin researching and contacting NAEYC Accredited programs in your area to determine if you can complete your assignment at that facility. Your local NAEYC Affiliate Groups may be beneficial, if you are having difficulty connecting with a program.
PART II of your Assessment requires that you complete Part 7 of the NAEYC’s Early Childhood Program Standards and Accreditation Criteria and two other portions of the Assessment instrument. To complete this instrument and the NAEYC Engaging Diverse Families Self-Assessment Checklist, you will need to both observe within the early childhood environment and conduct staff interviews to determine compliance with factors that cant be observed. Be sure to carefully review Part 7, the additional criteria you have selected, and the Checklist prior to arriving at the program.
Note: When completing the NAEYC’s Early Childhood Program Standards and Accreditation Criteria, you will mark Yes or No for each criteriabased on whether it is present or absent. For the Checklist, you will need to record program responses in the corresponding sections of the instrument.
Part II: Using Accreditation Standards to Evaluate an Early Childhood Program
After identifying an NAEYC accredited center and conducting your observations and interviews, you will develop a compilation of strengths and opportunity based on your results. Develop a list of what was marked as Yes and No across each instrument, and compile and overall list of what you see as the programs overall strengths and areas of opportunity.
Share your evaluation with the director of the center or a colleague. The colleague could be another student engaged in this competency or a colleague in the early childhood profession. Collaborate with him or her to develop at least two recommendations to strengthen or improve this program. Based on your interviews, notes, observations, and collaboration, write a 6- to 8-page paper that includes the following:
- A narrative evaluation of the programs quality in relation to Standard #7, Families, and the two additional standards you chose. Your evaluation should describe areas of strength and opportunity for this program. Support your evaluation with specific evidence related to NAEYC Program Standards and Accreditation Criteria, your observations, and your interviews.
- At least two recommendations you have for this program based on the standards. Your recommendations must be grounded in the professional knowledge base.
- An evaluation of your collaboration experience, including a description of the skills or tools you used to collaborate. How did your work with the director or colleague inform the development of your recommendations?

every week there will be 1-2 questions that must be answered by each student. The answers should be at least 3 substantive paragraphs, well developed, referenced, and properly formatted. Substantive means that the writer has added to the dialogue with referenced facts or pertinent personal experience leading to a reasoned argument that advances the scholarly discussion. Learning to efficiently locate and properly reference the literature is a key component of any Masters level course. Discussion question answers must include at least one reference that is not from the assigned reading.
2—what you have learned in the discussion board. What do you think are the 3 most important reasons to encourage a fitness walking program for our children? Why would you choose walking as a form of exercise?
Need help with my Health & Medical question – Im studying for my class.
Walking has become like breathing to most of us-we just do it and we don’t pay any attention to it. But when you actually start to track just how much you’re walking, well, your world becomes a whole new world. Walking is one of the best things you can do for your body. Not only is it great exercise that doesn’t feel like exercise, it also has many benefits for your whole person. Walking improves fitness, controls weight, reduces stress, and improves bone density. Research demonstrates that walking is truly the perfect, all-around exercise. Many studies have demonstrated the benefits of walking on not only our fitness levels but also on our brain health , possibly even delaying the onset of Alzheimer’s . Some of the world’s greatest thinkers were also walkers. Ralph Waldo Emerson was a dedicated walker, and his writings have influenced generations. The act of walking can stimulate your brain by giving it more of the oxygen it needs to generate new ideas. Walking can be a great time to organize your thoughts and plan your day.
The reasons people choose to walk for exercise and continue walking are both numerous and varied. Our text lists many reasons for choosing walking as a form of exercise. The listed below are a couple of websites that also offer good information if you haven’t received your text yet. Read the book or one of these articles and then talk about what you have learned in the discussion board. What do you think are the 3 most important reasons to encourage a fitness walking program for our children? Why would you choose walking as a form of exercise? There are no right or wrong answers to this prompt. Make sure you put the article address you read at the bottom of your discussion post or the pages in the text that you found your information. Copy and paste one of these web addresses into the address bar of a new window and then read the article.

CHFD210 Week 6 Discussion
I dont know how to handle this Psychology question and need guidance.
While each of the “Ten Steps to Guiding Behavior” is important, identify three steps that you feel are the most important and explain why.
Minimum 250 words
Classmate #1:
For this weeks forum, we are discussing three steps that we feel are most important when guiding a childs behavior. I can honestly say, the very first behavior that spoke to me, was their first step Arrange and Modify the Environment. This step emphasizes a well-arranged environment helping children to work independently. I think I am biased to this step, because it fits my persona and how I work better in a neat and organized environment, but I think routine is HIGHLY important for children and their development. Ive found in my own personal experience, that when me and my children stick to our routine, they do better in school, theyre less irritable, and they can better deal when things get a little out of order. Secondly, I think Model Appropriate Behavior is one of the most important steps; children are sponges, they soak up all the behaviors around them, good and bad. Whether it is at home, at school, on tv children mimic the behaviors around them, and I think its important for the adults to hold themselves accountable to ensure the success of our children developing into young adults and adults. Thirdly, I think Know and Use Developmentally Appropriate Practice, I learned this step is the most important, in dealing with my own children. My children are one year apart, but miles apart developmentally. When they were babies and developing, my daughter was walking and running around by 9-10 months, whereas my son, didnt start crawling until after 1 year; however, verbally, my daughter didnt start talking until almost 2 and needed speech therapy until 3, and my son was speaking in full sentences by 1 year and a half. Understanding the capabilities of each individual child, will help to better develop them in their formative years.
Classmate #2:
This weeks lesson was very enlightening. Having worked in the health field for many years, the ten steps to guiding behavior is something that I have certainly practiced. When working with young children, you have to understand that each child has a different personality. Which means each child is different. One of my philosophies has always been to get to know each child individually when you are the educator or childcare provider. The three out of ten steps of behavior that stood for most importance to me was 5). Know and Use Developmentally Appropriate Practice. This means to not expect too much or too little from a child. Expect what he/she is capable of doing. This makes since, I feel as if you should allow a child to be themselves. Allow them to sore in their own light. I also liked 8). Empower Children, this means to give the child responsibility. Give children choices, a sense of responsibility. Help them to succeed. I stand by this whole heartily. I believe children should have choices. When you give them a choice or a sense of responsibility, they get a feel of independence. It gives them self-confidence. In turn they want to try new things. Last but not least, I love 10). Develop a partnership with parents and others. This means to work closely and collaboratively with the parents. Who better then the childs parents can give you the most insight into a childs behavior. Nobody knows a child better then their own parent. I believe in working closely with the families and setting reasonable goals for the child. Using these guides to behavior will help run the classroom with ease.

- Mission statement
- Poster campaign
- Message to organization via the intranet
Create an approximate 90-word security policy mission statement for Dayton Soft Products.
Develop a poster campaign consisting of 3 posters for security awareness to display in the workplace and to distribute virtually. Each poster must include the security policy mission statement. Highlight at least 5 legal and ethical issues across the 3 posters. You may use any program to create your posters.
Write a message for the company’s internal website to a diverse workforce announcing the cybersecurity awareness material. You will need to submit a draft of your announcement message to the executive staff in the form of a Microsoft® Word document.
Provide the following elements in your announcement message:
- The reason the corporate security policy was established
- Mission statement
- Employees’ role to meet the mission
- Announce launch of the poster campaign
- Large images of the three posters

I need an explanation for this Art & Design question to help me study.
Part A
Post your discussion by the due date and time and then respond to two others with whether you agree or disagree with them by the end of day.
part I
Closely examine the two drawings by Vincent Van Gogh.
- Which drawing is better at showing the roundness of the subjects limbs or body?
- Which better expresses the subjects physical weight?
- What techniques did the artist use to achieve these?
Images are side by side in the powerpoint and pdf attached.
Part II
Watercolor can be used for both quick sketches and highly detailed studies. One of the best known of the latter is Albrecht Durers Large Piece of Turf from 1503. Compare the style of work with that of John Singer Sargents watercolor Rio de Santa Maria Formosa. Think about all the elements and principles of design we have recently studied and how they are each using them- the same way or differently. Images are side by side in the powerpoint and pdf attached.
Part B
Pick an Advertisement from a magazine or other print media. Photo or scan and upload as a jpeg or pdf to the discussion board then post your discussion.
- How are they trying to persuade you to buy their product?
- What elements and principles are they using to enhance the persuasion?
Post by the due date and respond to two other posts by end of day. Respond to them in terms of art, principles and elements of design, and why you think their observations are correct or not.
Note: Do not give a narrative on what the ad is about. We will see that from the image. Analyze the ad for how it is put together in terms of the elements and principles of design. A reminder on giving a strong analysis on the elements review the video, Analysis of The Birth of Venus
Part C
Write an analysis of the photograph in terms of chapter 9 vocabulary AND the elements and principles of design. Do a little background research on the artist and the photograph. How are the elements and principles used to strengthen the concept of this work?
