In the Week 3 Assignment, you engaged in a case analysis of a current business problem using some of the components of an argumentative essay. In this written assignment, you will write a complete argumentative essay as described in Sections 9.1 and 9.2 of With Good Reason: A Guide to Critical Thinking (Foster, Hardy, & Zúñiga y Postigo, 2015). This essay will include a revised and polished version of your Week 3 Assignment, an objection to your thesis, a rebuttal, and concluding remarks. Your assignment should include the following:
A revision of your Week 3 Case Analysis Assignment. Your revision should represent a substantial edit of your work that fully incorporates feedback from your professor and goes well beyond correcting any grammatical or APA errors.

The strongest possible objection to your thesis. After the final paragraph of your Week 3 Case Analysis Assignment, start a new paragraph that introduces the strongest possible objection to your thesis. The considerations for this are detailed in Section 9.2 of With Good Reason: A Guide to Critical Thinking (Hardy, Foster, & Zúñiga y Postigo, 2015). Make sure to employ the appropriate language to introduce the objection, such as “some may object to my thesis as follows” or “according to [so and so] the thesis presented here fails to account for X” [whatever he or she finds problematic]. You can find other language to do this, of course, but the key point here is to make sure that you indicate that someone else is speaking when presenting this objection.

It is also important to remember that you do research to discover good objections and not merely objections that are weak and thus easily rebutted. Look for peer-reviewed journal articles in the Ashford University Library, full-text articles in Google Scholar, or articles in the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy. Present the opposing position fairly and in detail. This may take more than one paragraph.

A rebuttal. This is a refutation of the objection that you have just presented. Start this in a new paragraph following the objection paragraph(s). Once again, follow the indications of Section 9.2 of With Good Reason: A Guide to Critical Thinking (Hardy, Foster, & Zúñiga y Postigo, 2015). You may point out an error in the objection. Or you may show that, while it is an important objection, it does not apply squarely to your argument, or does not account for facts that make it irrelevant. Above all, make sure to maintain philosophical decorum in your rebuttal. Toward this end, you should apply the principles of charity and of accuracy, first introduced in the Week 1 course material. See “Confronting Disagreement” in Section 9.4 of With Good Reason: A Guide to Critical Thinking (Hardy, Foster, & Zúñiga y Postigo, 2015).

Closing remarks. End your argumentative essay with a paragraph of closing remarks. Provide some reflections of what you have attempted to achieve by means of your essay. You could, for example, explain how your essay sheds light on the broader controversy that it addresses. Or you could point out how your essay addresses a frequently ignored point or the unpopular side in the controversy. You could also reflect on the related matters in the broader controversy that would be useful to examine by others. Do not merely summarize what you have done in the body of your essay, and do not add new information here that would support or contradict your essay since the body of your essay should have addressed all the relevant points. In the healthcare sector, professionalism is a crucial principle that governs the behavior and actions carried out by the respective practitioners (Bynn & Thibault, 2018). However, unconscious bias, discrimination, and racism are some of the main factors which reduce the abilities to deliver quality care to specific communities. Unconscious bias revolves around the negative or positive prejudice against or in support of a given community, group of individual. In most cases, negative prejudice reduces the abilities of the practitioners to deliver quality services to the associated communities. On the other hand, discrimination is the idea of segregating certain people of groups in the community for the various attributes such as their area of origin or but not limited to the level of education. Discrimination does not provide a platform for equal opportunities for service delivery. As opposed, discrimination eliminates the chances of delivering quality care services to the associated populations. Finally, structural racism in healthcare is vital in that it reduces the chances of the delivery of services to specific populations. Racism reduces the abilities to deliver quality services to particular people or individuals based on cultural backgrounds.

These factors play a crucial role in that they influence the way people receive care. Racism, discrimination, and bias help to increase the disparities in the community as far as the provision of health services are concerned. On the other hand, the political systems that a nation contained a crucial role in defining the approaches to take when it comes to the delivery of care. The current political systems of a country positively contribute to the definition of the ultimate platform for guiding the activities and decisions made in the healthcare sector. Differences in perceptions usually create gaps in the healthcare decisions made influencing the delivery of care in the long run (Cruess & Cruess, 2016). Secondly, the economy of a country affects the quality of care delivered. For instance, a country with a strong and growing economy is highly likely to support the various pillars such as healthcare and education with the relevant resources. Further, the prevailing social connections of the community or healthcare industry influence the delivery of care. Negative social relationships result in reduced care delivery.

I enjoyed reading your post. Health care is a hot topic amongst all circles. If you watch the current political debates it is a constant topic. Affordable care Act, Medicare for all, Medicaid. It’s hard to know the right answer for all and the ins and outs of all the different policies that are in place. I think that insurance needs an overhaul. I think that socialized medicine does offer some benefits, but in the long run, I don’t think it is the best option. I think that there is a good meeting in the middle somewhere. I currently live in Germany, the land of socialized medicine, and it is not that great. For example, the area that I live in has 3 cardiologists, for the entire region. People wait 6 months for an appointment with a cardiologist. If they can’t wait they go to the ER. Some people pay thousands of Euros to move to the “front of the line”. People wait weeks and weeks and months to see a medical professional, even their PCM. The last 2 weeks of the year, they are all off. Germans pay 65% income tax which pays for the health care. The Germans in my region were just told that they now have to work an extra 5-10 years before they can retire because of the millions of uninsured immigrants they have taken into the country. I can’t imagine waiting months to see a specialist. I think that the Affordable care act provided a great start to providing health care to people, but at the same time, it is like it caused a reversal in coverage. People that had coverage before the ACA, lost coverage and people that did not have coverage gained coverage. I haven’t read much into the Medicare for all act, have you? what are your thoughts on it?

Insurance companies have too much power to say what they will pay for and if a treatment or medication is needed. They should never have that power. If a dr thinks someone needs it, then the insurance should pay for it. Administrations say that health care is so expensive because of coverage of the uninsured. Emergency room visits for the uninsured drive up health care costs. Health care costs are going to be driven up regardless I think. I think that state funded Medicaid programs have a much needed place in communities. I think that children from birth to 18, should have any medical treatment they need, medication they need and see any doctor or specialist they need/want. I think this is the case for all vulnerable populations. elderly, pregnant women, people who are sick or disabled. I don’t even know where to begin on what the right answer is, but nobody should have to suffer, and I believe that everyone has the right to good, quality health care.

My Sport choice is Snowboarding. I love to snowboard, but I never really realized just how much science is behind everything that happens while I am on the board. Snowboarding requires you to focus a lot on balance and using the laws of gravity to your advantage.

Physics plays a big part in snowboarding. You must pump your legs up and down in order to build up more momentum. The more momentum the higher you go and the higher you go the more points and tricks your able to perform.

New snowboards are created all the times. There are many kinds of snowboards and they all do something different. There are boards made from soft and hard woods. They each allow you to do something different. Soft boards are great for beginners with low body weights. The soft boards are for a not so hard feeling while your boarding. The harder boards are used for going off trails or going down a black diamond trail. They also allow for better landings when jumping and trying to do tricks.

Nothing that I did not already know.

I think knowing that the way I use my body weight and how to apply it to make my body move is going to make my snowboarding experience that much better. I also think understanding just how much science goes into snowboarding will affect the way I board in the future.

1. Share some information about the science behind your sport or recreation of choice.

I like all kinds of sports, but rifles and archery have become my go to sports. They both require discipline focus and a basic understanding of how to apply certain pressure for trigger squeeze or string draw to assist in accuracy.

1. How can you categorize the scientific information that you learned about your sport/recreation? For example, does it involve physics, chemistry, and/or biology?

I would say that it would involve physics when you look at understanding the science behind the recoil of a rifle or the archer’s paradox. Newton’s Law of Motion helps describe the flight of the arrow: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Also, the rifle will remain at rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force according to Newton’s law.

1. What technological advances have been made in your favorite activity during its history?

I would say that the rifles of today have advance in construction. Rapid fire abilities compared the past are far significant. A look at the smart sight used to see distances farther than the natural eye can see. Suppression of noise and buffering to stop large amounts of recoil. A bow manufacturer called Hoyt, owned by Easton since the 1980s, developed a new core for bow limbs using syntactic foam. This was originally designed so submarine control surfaces could be kept hollow without being crushed by sea pressure, the incorporation of this foam makes bows limbs lighter and much stronger. Many other designs help archers flight of arrows become sturdier and provide trajectory accuracy improvements.

Not sure if there are any that have been dismissed.

1. Now that you have done some research on the science involved in your favorite activity, do you think you can use that information to perform better? Why, or why not?

Defiantly, it made me more aware of some changes I need to make to become better with the bow. Serving in the military and enjoying hunting I have grown over the years to become a great shooter of rifles and pistols but the bow takes much more understand of Kinetic and potential energy as well as trajectory and a better understanding of how the bow reacts as it bends and flexes when placed under the pressure of the accelerating bowstring and the lateral displacement caused sliding sideways when released from my fingers. Hopefully I get better.
