business principles and patient cost

I’m working on a Nursing question and need guidance to help me study.

Overview 1

This week you have read about several areas of financing as it relates to the health care system and some health care retail areas that may be of interests. For this assignment, put yourself in a nurse manager, director of nursing, Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), or business owner role. Discuss three or more business principles as discussed in the Greg Fisher Power Point-in the learning activities (in your own words) which are needed to maintain safe, quality, patient-centered care that is fiscally sound, provide supportive data. In your discussion consider:

  • Why have you selected the business principles?
  • Are the business principles used at your current facility?
    • If you feel that they are, give supportive examples.
    • If you feel they are not give examples of how they could be implemented.
  • Why are those specific principles important in health care?
  • Why are those specific principles important to you?

Overview 2

This week’s readings and lecture offered information related to lobbyists and advocates. Is there a difference between being a lobbyist and an advocate? Lobbyists provide support for policy, as do advocates, so what is the difference? Most nurses consider themselves patient advocates; however a political advocate is somewhat different. In this discussion, differentiate between a lobbyist and an advocate. Be sure to discuss a political advocate rather than a bedside advocate.

Topics to include:

  • Definition of a lobbyist.
  • Definition of an advocate.
  • Similarities and differences.
  • Why are they both important?
  • How does one of your selected organizations (choose one you used in your week 1 DB – What is the definition of Nursing Excellence – these organizations were discussed in the week 1 PowerPoint) lobby or advocate for health care policy?

Organizations: World Health Organization or National League of Nursing (choose one from this).

A summary about a news story from national news source

I’m working on a Social Media Marketing question and need guidance to help me study.

you will submit a 150-200-word summary [not a copy] of a news story from any reputable state or national news source in print, on radio, on TV, or online. Use Times New Roman, 12-pt. type, double-spaced. The story will be about the intersection of media and the First Amendment in the United States—no stories from foreign countries. Not part of the 150-200 words will be a description of where you found this news item (N.Y. Times, CNN on TV, etc.), the title of the story, the date, and URL, if applicable, although I need to have this info. Just don’t count these words toward you 150-200 range. The story must appear in the news media during the week you will be submitting it. In addition to the summary of the story, I’m looking for any insights you might have on why this is an important case or issue and any implications for journalists, organizations, the media in general, corporations, etc. Be sure to include your contact info at upper left: name, date, which week’s summary, email address. Remember: If your story has nothing to do with the First Amendment or nothing to do with the media, it will count as a zero. The story must include BOTH. You will have no more chance to submit a summary that week.

There will be NO ability to submit to a particular week once that week’s

Community Health Assessment / Windshield Survey

Community Assessment

A community health assessment (sometimes called a CHA), also known as community health needs assessment (sometimes called a CHNA), refers to a state, tribal, local, or territorial health assessment that identifies key health needs and issues through systematic, comprehensive data collection and analysis. Community health assessments use such principles as

  • Multisector collaborations that support shared ownership of all phases of community health improvement, including assessment, planning, investment, implementation, and evaluation
  • Proactive, broad, and diverse community engagement to improve results
  • A definition of community that encompasses both a significant enough area to allow for population-wide interventions and measurable results, and includes a targeted focus to address disparities among subpopulations
  • Maximum transparency to improve community engagement and accountability
  • Use of evidence-based interventions and encouragement of innovative practices with a thorough evaluation
  • Evaluation to inform a continuous improvement process
  • Use of the highest quality data pooled from and shared among, diverse public and private sources

Elected Leadership assignment

I need help with a Management question. All explanations and answers will be used to help me learn.

Elected Leadership

Read Five Characteristics of an Effective School Board: A Multifaceted Role, Defined (Griffin & Ward, 2006) Included is a list and a brief description of what some researchers have determined to be the essential characteristics necessary for a school board to be effective. The second article, School Board Governance Best Practices (XQ Institute, 2019), focuses on the successful characteristics of school districts, which have demonstrated effective governance. When we think of the word “effective” in this sense, we look at the school or district as having a positive impact on improvements in student learning, both school-wide and district-wide.

School boards are usually composed of local elected individuals. They may have a strong desire to influence or help their local school district, but, as elected individuals, they may also have political interests or aspirations. This can cause significant challenges when school boards try to develop internal goals and beliefs.

After reading these two articles, write four to five paragraphs, to explain what you believe to be common descriptive characteristics of effective school boards.

  • Describe the similarities and differences that you find in the two articles.
  • Which do you think are the most important attributes for school boards and school board members to possess?
  • To tie this research to Edmond’s work on Effective Schools, what effective schools characteristics do you see in the two articles? Are there similarities or differences?

Support your statements with evidence from the required studies and your research. Cite and reference your sources in APA style.
