ERP and CRM in Business

Mostlarge businesses rely on many complex processes to keep them running smoothly. Two large areas that impact large areas of business and IT are ERP and CRM.

Respond to the following questions:

  • How do ERP and CRM help a company?
  • What are the drawbacks to setting up those different types of systems in a business?

Justify your answers using examples and reasoning. Comment on the postings of at least two classmates with regard to whether you agree or disagree with their views.

Meeting Medical Challenges with Artificial Intelligence

One area where human intelligence is limited is in the area of medicine. It often takes a doctor to determine a medical condition, and doctors cannot be everywhere. However, if the knowledge and processes that doctors use can be transmitted to machines, the knowledge and diagnosis of the medical field can be greatly expanded.

Discuss how expert systems, neural networks, and genetic algorithms can help scientists meet medical challenges. Provide an example of each system. Select one of your three examples and describe the system more in-depth. Give an example of a system currently being used and describe how and where it is in use today.

Week 4 BUS3001

To support your work, use your course and text readings and the South University Online Library. As in all assignments, cite your sources in your work and provide references for the citations in APA format.

Start reviewing and responding to the postings of your peers as early in the week as possible. Respond to at least two of your peers’ initial postings. Participate in the discussion by asking a question, providing a statement of clarification, providing a point of view with a rationale, challenging an aspect of the discussion, or indicating a relationship between two or more lines of reasoning in the discussion. Cite sources in your responses to other peers. Complete your participation for this assignment by the end of the week.

The Value of Studying Ethics in Leadership

Choose one of the following statements and argue your position (are you in favor or opposed to the statement). You should use at least three credible sources from texts or journals to support your argument.

  • We can become more ethical leaders by examining cases of unethical leadership.
  • The most important quality a leader should have is authenticity.
  • Incompetent leaders can’t be ethical leaders.
  • It is possible to use transformational leadership strategies to reach unethical objectives.
  • An action or a decision cannot be ethical unless a leader reaches it using ethical processes.
  • Traditional leadership theories and moral standards are not adequate to help employees solve complex organizational issues.

When replying to fellow students, provide some counterpoints and sources for the counterarguments and consider how any of the points made impact the positions taken by yourself and others.

Week 5 Discussion

The Recruiting Value of Corporate Social Responsibility

Kim and Park (2011) argue that corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities not only have value for benefitting social causes but can also be regarded as recruiting tools for attracting potential employees who perceive the organization and its CSR activities as an ethical fit. The foundation of this argument comes from an organizational perspective that views employees as important assets for a corporation. Coming from this perspective would mean that corporations would be cognizant about the imperative to have an active CSR program that matches corporate values, missions, and cultures.

Conduct research to identify the top ten companies to work for last year. Choose one of these companies and further research its CSR activities.

In your posting, respond to the following, supporting your perspectives with scholarly resources:

  • What is the company you chose?
  • What are the company’s CSR activities?
  • What do these activities communicate about the company?
  • Assess whether these activities are cause beneficial or cause exploitative? Give evidence for your answer.
  • Would you consider working for this company?

Support your answers with appropriate research and reasoning and initiate comments on the postings of at least two of your peers.

Using the Gifts God Has Given Us Web Page

I’m working on a Writing question and need guidance to help me study.

Getting Started

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.1 Peter 4:10

God has bestowed on each of us special and unique gifts that we, as Christians, are called to use to glorify Him and serve others. Throughout the Bible, there are many passage passages that refer to these special and diverse gifts given to us by the Holy Spirit. For example, 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 states:

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.

When we use the special talents that God has given us to glorify Him, we are pleasing God. As Christians, we yearn to be and stay close to God; sometimes, it easy to take our gifts and talents for granted.

In Social Work, we are taught to look for and build on people’s strengths. We look for the unique and diverse strengths that our clients bring to the table, and we use them to help our clients help themselves. However, sometimes we forget to reflect on our own strengths. What do we bring to the table? Consider what special gifts you have received from God and how you can use them to glorify Him. How will these unique gifts and talents make you a better social worker?

Upon successful completion of this discussion, you will be able to:

  • Apply ethical, Christ-like attitudes, values, and worldview appropriate to mezzo social work practice. (PO 1)

Resources

  • Bible

Instructions

  1. Review the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for earning your grade.
  2. Navigate to the threaded discussion and respond to the following:
    1. What are your special, God-given gifts?
    2. How could you use these gifts to serve others and glorify God?
    3. How might these special gifts help you in the field of Social Work when working with families and groups?

  • Explain Incoterms (International Commercial Terms).
    • Why is it important to understand those internationally accepted terms of trade? Provide examples.

Part 2:

The pricing strategy for a product may vary from country to country; a product may be positioned as a low-priced mass-marketed product and a premium-priced niche market in others. Review table 10-2 on page 314 of your text which lists the world’s most valuable brands.

Select two similar brands (that offer at least one line of similar products) and consider them operating in the same country from the list in your text:

  • Compare the various pricing strategies each company uses to compete in each country. Provide examples.
  • Which of the four categories of Incoterms apply to the company you selected?

History Assignment

Can you help me understand this History question?

1) Read the definitions of primary and secondary sources posted below.

2) Find a primary source from the present time (anything recent or within the last few months). In the discussion forum below tell us what your source is and explain what it says about the social, political, or economic times we live in. In other words, how will historians use your primary source to write about this period?

Primary Sources-

A primary source provides direct or firsthand evidence about an event, object, person, or work of art. Primary sources include historical and legal documents, eyewitness accounts, results of experiments, statistical data, pieces of creative writing, audio and video recordings, speeches, and art objects. Interviews, surveys, fieldwork, and Internet communications via email, blogs, listservs, and newsgroups are also primary sources. In the natural and social sciences, primary sources are often empirical studies—research where an experiment was performed or a direct observation was made. The results of empirical studies are typically found in scholarly articles or papers delivered at conferences.

Secondary Sources-

Secondary sources describe, discuss, interpret, comment upon, analyze, evaluate, summarize, and process primary sources. Secondary source materials can be articles in newspapers or popular magazines, book or movie reviews, or articles found in scholarly journals that discuss or evaluate someone else’s original research.

Discussion about Python

I’m studying and need help with a Computer Science question to help me learn.

1) I want you to write about an area in Chapters 1-2 you think are important. Discuss what are the new innovation today using Python programming in Business and what effect these areas have on the computer field. You should look up information on websites then post the links to that site. Do some research outside of this book and leave a link. How will these areas change in the future? Will these areas change society? (please write more than 200 words)

2)I also need a reply to this post by adding a New Thread.(more than 50 words)

A very important part of PC performance, in my opinion, is the speed and performance of RAM in a computer. With the increasing amount of processes and speeds CPUs can handle, the need for faster RAM has to keep up in order to get these higher speeds. The text describes RAM as main memory that the CPU uses to access data from any location at any time. This is important because as the data is called up, the memory must find and store the needed data for the CPU so as the CPU gets faster so does the RAM. This memory uses caches that are located at different distances from the CPU and in recent news, there have been upgrades in CPUs and RAM to include more space within the L3 cache which is furthest away from the CPU allowing for faster storage from RAM. This helps to increase the performance of the CPU and overall computer. As there technologies increase, so do our computers and everything that relies on them. We are able to make advances in medicine and artificial intelligence due to the speed improvements. The article I included explains some features of high speed RAM coupled with the new AMD CPU coming out soon. This helps to show how this technology is improving every year, which is pretty good for this industry.

Global wealth distribution and inequality

I need support with this Philosophy question so I can learn better.

For this assignment, I want you to browse two websites (and do some writing, but we’ll get to that in a moment):

“Global Inequality.” Institute of Policy Studies. Web. https://inequality.org/facts/global-inequality/. Accessed January 1, 2020.

“Distribution of population between different poverty thresholds, World,” Roser and Ortiz-Ospina, Our World in Data. https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/distribution-of-population-poverty-thresholds. Accessed September 25, 2019.

What you will notice about the two sites is that each organization seems to be telling a different story about the significance of global wealth distribution.

So, for your written assignment, write a page (about 250-300 words) that explains the different stories these two websites are telling about global wealth inequality. This is your guiding question, but as you write your response, here are some questions that may help you frame your response:

  • Are there bad consequences to wealth concentration?
  • Why, if at all, does wealth inequality matter?
  • Is wealth equality a goal that a society should pursue? Why or why not?
  • What kinds of wealth are necessary to a good society?

Again, these questions are just to help you think about the stories these two organizations are telling. The main thing is to explain the difference the way global wealth distribution is presented by each website.

Client Issues

I don’t understand this Psychology question and need help to study.

Clinical mental health counselors, like doctors and lawyers, practice in specialty areas. These areas are specific to client issues or populations for which the counselor has had advanced clinical training and experience. Often, counselors enter a training program with an idea of the client issues or populations for which they have a passion. These specialty areas include, but are not limited to, drug and alcohol treatment, eating disorders, trauma, crisis management, depression, and/or anxiety. You might not know what area of counseling you’d like to practice, and that’s OK! Feel free to pick a topic that is most interesting to you at this point in your training.

For this Discussion, you will explore various client issues and analyze a video concerning a client population or issue that interests you. Your analysis, and the resulting dialogue with your colleagues, will help you as you work to determine the client issue or population with which you would like to specialize.

To Prepare:

  • Review Section 3, “Client Issues and Advocacy,” from the Erford course text.
    • In addition to the assigned reading (Chapter 8), select one additional chapter from Section 3 to review and incorporate into this discussion: Chapters 7, 9, 10, 11, or 12.
  • Search the Walden Library and choose a video that demonstrates a client population or client issue that interests you. Think about why you selected this video. The video should align with the chapter you have selected.
  • Also, as you review the video, notice what the clinical mental health counselor does during the session.
  • After reviewing the video, reflect on anything that surprised you in the video.
  • Think about any insights you gained or conclusions you drew about client issues and this population from the video and the chapter, noting specifically if anything reinforced your desire to work with this client issue or population.

By Day 3

Post the following:

  • The title and a brief description of the video you selected.
  • Explain why this client issue and/or population interests you.
  • Explain any insights you gained or conclusions you drew about working with that client issue or population.
  • Finally, explain how this video and chapter may have confirmed or challenged your interest in working with this client issue or population, and explain why.
