do the research paper on topic:- New Technologies and Research Trends for Wireless, Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia
Im studying for my Writing class and need an explanation.
All submissions are to be submitted through turn-it-in. Drop-boxes linked to turn-it-in will be set up in the Unit of Study Moodle account. Assignments not submitted through these dropboxes will not be considered. Submissions must be made by the due date and time. The turn-it-in similarity score will be used in determining the level if any of plagiarism. Turnit-in will check conference web-sites, Journal articles, the Web and your own class member submissions for plagiarism. You can see your turn-it-in similarity score when you submit your assignment to the appropriate drop-box. If this is a concern you will have a chance to change your assignment and re-submit. However, re-submission is only allowed prior to the submission due date and time. After the due date and time have elapsed you cannot make re-submissions and you will have to live with the similarity score as there will be no chance for changing. Thus, plan early and submit early to take advantage of this feature. You can make multiple submissions, but please remember we only see the last submission, and the date and time you submitted will be taken from that submission. Your document should be a single word or pdf document containing your report. This research study requires in-depth reading and analysis of a single specific topic. This one topic can be of your choice, but the topic must have been covered in this course. You require to take one research paper of that topic and make a small report on that research paper which should contain the following: Introduction to the topic Introduction to that paper, their main work. Detail description of the methodologies employed in that paper. Comparison of the results reported in that paper with others. Your comments on the advantages/disadvantages/superiority of that papers methodology. Suggest your changes/future-directions for that paper to improve it (if any). Conclusion. References. The research paper you need to choose should be published work in well-reputed Journ

Healthcare Statistics problems
Im studying for my Statistics class and dont understand how to answer this. Can you help me study?
Problem 1: The Medicare population is comprised of individuals with many health care needs, primarily because of their age. Cite barriers to obtaining measurements of health in this population and proposed methods for ensuring the quality of data collected.
Problem 2. A physical examination an audiometric test were given to 500 individuals with suspected hearing problems, of whom 300 were actually found to have hearing issues. The results of the examinations are presented in the following tables:

- Compute the sensitivity and specificity of the findings shown for the physical examination and audiometric test. What type of questions would specify and sensitive address?
- Compute the positive and negative predictive values of the findings shown for the physical examination and audiometric test. What type of questions would positive and negative predictive values address?
- Compared with the physical examination, how would you characterize the audiometric test in terms of its specificity and sensitivity?
- Compared with the physical examination, how would you characterize the audiometric test in terms of its positive and negative predictive values?
Problem 3. Two physicians were asked to classify 100 chest x-rays as abnormal or normal independently. The comparison of their classification is shown in the following table:

- Calculate the overall percent agreement between the two physicians.
- Would you characterize the value of kappa as poor, good or excellent?
Problem 4. Regression analysis in a research study
Using the following study entitled Correlates of recovery among older adults after major abdominal surgery by Zalon, M.L. (2004) answer the following:
- What is the purpose of this study and how large is the sample size?
- Identify the dependent and independent variables.
- What statistical methods did the authors use to analyze the data and why?
- What was the percentage of variance explained by the regression analysis for functional status at 3 months?
- Discuss the multiple regression analysis results for functional status. What do these results indicate for practice?
Problem 5: Multiple Linear Regression

- At the 5% significance level, determine if # of disability days and distance between patients residence and source of care significantly predict the number of visits.
On the instruction.
I dont understand this Sociology question and need help to study.
Note: Please read carefully.
This is an extra credit: It is to be written with a minimum of 1.5 pages and a maximum of 3 pages excluding the reference page. Each complete paragraph is to have 5-7 sentences.
