The purpose of an evaluation plan is to demonstrate program effectiveness and reveal opportunities for program improvement. This is done by measuring the program’s impacts and outcomes and analyzing efficacy of the program’s processes and procedures. When you developed measurable program goals, you determined the performance thresholds that will indicate program success. The most important part of planning program evaluations is collecting incremental data, throughout the duration of the intervention, so you can capture changes and the development of trends as they occur.
