Critical Tech Reflection ( Desmos Review) Directions:  For this reflection, you are to do a write up of your chosen tech tool that you presented in this class (DESMOS). You have seen many resources used throughout the course of the semester and now is the time to critically write and review one of your own.  Parameters: Title your paper “Critical Tech Reflection” Your paper should be a 12-point font and should be between 3 and 5 paragraphs. You should address the following questions: What is the name of the tech tool?  What is used for?  What issues does it resolve?  What issues does it create? What makes this tool great? What are the shortcomings of this tool?  Where does it fail? How does this tool support the themes and ideas presented in this class? In what ways or capacity can you see yourself or your students using this tool? Does this tool have any competitors?  If so, what are they?  What makes them different? Do you have to pay for this tool?  What options does this tool offer? How does this tool align to the standards?  Here is a link to those standards. Discuss the importance of an instructional coach as it relates to the classroom. What steps would you take as an instructional coach to increase student achievement needs at your school? (See attached for school information)

Instructions: There has been increasing concern among educators for the quality of learning environments. The social psychology has taught us about the effects of the quality of interpersonal relationships while industrial psychologic contributed many insights about the effects of organizational environment (e. g. structure, policies and procedures). Reflect on your personal experience when the climate was not conducive to learning.

Directions:  Write at least 3 paragraphs. The purpose of this assignment is to ask you to formulate your own philosophy regarding technology and teaching.  The following is by no means an exhaustive list, but you may wish to include responses to these questions to get you started:   How has your knowledge base grown?   In what ways do you see the use of technology helpful and similarly in what ways do you see the use of technology hindering as it pertains to teaching and learning?   What are some essential elements to teaching with technology that have a positive effect on your teaching and your students’ learning?   How will you keep up with what industry may call “new technology” that will change the way you teach and the way your students learn?  Essentially, how will you continue to be a lifelong learner? Critically analyse the following questions; 1: Discuss critical theory from a perspective of action. Reflect on moments or processes when critical reflection converted into an action and discuss the challenges of this conversion.  2:  Reflect on an instance in your professional or personal life in which, through the practice of critical reflection, you engaged in transformative learning. Alternatively, reflect on an instance in which there was (unrealised) potential for transformative learning to occur through critical reflection.

I have already discussed with my professor that the topic will be in regards to “Racial Tracking in Education” and that it should be ended.

You will complete a Course Project in this course that will span two weeks. The final project is due the Sunday of Week 7. The project is broken into two parts. You will complete Part I in Week 6 and Part II in Week 7. In Week 6, Confidence Intervals will be explored and in Week 7 Hypothesis testing will be explored. A confidence interval is a defined range of values such that there is a specified probability that the value of a parameter lies within the interval. In Part I of this project, you will pick a topic, complete research and provide a write-up that includes calculations. Round all values to two decimal places when appropriate. Write at least a 1-Page Report Open a Word Document Introduction–Provide a description of your topic and cite where you found your data. Sample Data—Include a 5×10 table including your 50 values in your report. You must provide ALL of your sample data. Problem Computations—For the topic you chose, you must answer the following: Determine the mean and standard deviation of your sample. Find the 80%, 95%, and 99% confidence intervals. Make sure to list the margin of error for the 80%, 95%, and 99% confidence interval. Create your own confidence interval (you cannot use 80%, 95%, and 99%) and make sure to show your work. Make sure to list the margin of error. Problem Analysis—Write a half-page reflection. What trend do you see takes place to the confidence interval as the confidence level rises? Explain mathematically why that takes place. Provide a sentence for each confidence interval created in part c) which explains what the confidence interval means in context of topic of your project.
