In 1000 words or less, please respond to the following question: At GW our students are actively engaged within our campus community and DC community at large whether it be through volunteer service, advocacy work, professional development, or cultural celebration. What is a current issue or movement that you are passionate about, and how do you envision yourself engaging in that passion after high school?

The essay should be about five paragraphs, citing Kaestle at any point(s) in the essay. The introduction should state that the purposes of education in the US include the 3Rs, morality and politics. I would suggest once paragraph explaining each of those. Then a conclusion which should be a mirror of the introduction. The body of the essay are those three paragraphs, and that is where Kaestle citations would be most appropriate. Three rs are (Reading, Writing and Arithmetic) t is to be submitted as an email attachment, in Word, Calibri 11 or Times New Roman 12 font, left-justified, double-spaced. If you choose to use a header, single-spaced with no excess spacing. Anything not properly formatted will be returned. You are required to cite chapter one of the Kaestle text in the essay.

Write a reflection paper in which you describe your problem while answering all the following questions: What is the problem in education that you have chosen to study and solve? Who is suffering the effects of this problem? What serious consequences will happen if the problem does not get solved? If there are no serious consequences, spending time on the problem is not justified. Does the problem interest a wide variety of stakeholders at your workplace and/or in your community? $1 Is it a problem that others in your area of specialization have written about incredible sources like journal articles, e-books, and trade publications? If you need numbers or statistics, you might find it helpful to refer to the census or government websites, school district test score data etc. Perhaps you will need to refer to workplace policies or laws. These are just examples of sources. You will need to support all claims you make with appropriate sources. There is no place for personal opinion or storytelling in your evidence. When you read sources and discover that others are having a similar problem, write about the similarities and differences between their situation and yours. How will you make the chosen problem seem engaging to others? You need to make others care about the problem through various means of communication -written, oral, and through technology. You can do this by choosing a problem that is controversial in itself, by presenting opposing views on the problem, or by pointing out what is not yet known about this problem. By doing these things, you are making a case to the stakeholders that there is a need to study this problem. If you are not working in education, you should use a scenario that has happened to an acquaintance who works in education.

Classroom management plans are created by teachers to assist in the planning and implementation of a positive classroom environment that is efficient, proactively addresses issues that may arise, and provides systematic support for the teacher and students to remain engaged, on task, and productive. Consideration of the unique needs of students should guide the development of a classroom management plan. By understanding student needs, the teacher is better able to identify the types of accommodations and modifications to routinely include in the plan. Use the “Creating a Classroom Management Plan Template” to complete this assignment. Using the grade level for which you would like to teach, create a 750-900 word classroom management plan for students in your special education resource classroom described in the “Class Profile.” Include the following in your classroom management plan: Classroom Management Plan Statement of Purpose. Rules: Description of 3-5 rules, positive reinforcements aligned to each rule, and consequences for not following each rule. Procedures/Routines: Provide 3-5 classroom procedures and routines.
