What are the characteristics of a good teacher?  What are the characteristics of a weak teacher? Is a good teacher the opposite of a weak teacher, or is there more going on than that? Are there different kinds of good teachers? If so, how would you classify them?

Write a research paper on the nature of the adolescent learner that includes learning theories applicable to adolescent learners, instructional strategies that are the most appropriate for this age group and stages of adolescence and their impact on student learning. Address the topics In terms of your major (Biology is my major) The paper must be a minimum of five pages excluding the Title page, outline and bibliography. Education leadership and social justice  For this post, you will take this one step further and connect professionalism and ethics to social justice. For your initial post: Explain how upholding principles of social justice specifically relates to the expectations of early childhood professionals and ethical practice. Write an essay on one country where you plan to teach EFL in the future. Your essay should address all three of the following ideas: Surface-level cultural differences such as food, dress, celebrations, etc. Deep-level cultural differences such as people’s attitudes, values/beliefs, etc. Classroom and educational culture such as student-teacher/student-student relationships, educational systems, dress code, etc.   Use at least three sources and write 750 – 1,000 words. You may include pictures too if you wish.  Be sure to acknowledge each source using the preferred citation method of your instructor.

Case Study. Shaping School Culture. You have served as an assistant principal for one year in a middle school (grades 4-8) that has received a grade of “D”as a school accountability label. Due to recent changes and the retirement of the principal, you apply for the open position and the Superintendent selects you to be the principal for the next school year. Your knowledge of your internal and external community, along with the various school and district systems, plays a critical role in your summer planning for the upcoming school year. Your school has had a reputation of being a “tough” school. Your student body is made up of mostly lower-income families who live primarily in single family homes, condominiums, and federally subsidized apartments. Demographically,the school is culturally diverse, with Hispanic students making up the largest ethnic group. You also have the highest African American student population within the district. The school has approximately 700 students, 33 full-time general education teachers, 1 full-time special education teacher and 1 gifted education teacher. Your teaching staff has remained stable in key areas, but you know that you will need to hire seven teachers across the gradelevels. A large percentage of your teachers are experienced veterans, many of whom have outlived at least 14 administrators that have come through the campus. In a 3-page essay, please describe your academic trajectory including the issues, policies or events that have informed your current higher education experiences. Reflect on your purpose and reason for pursuing a higher education. Please use the following questions to guide your response. Church-State Relations Overview Select and examine two court rulings related to church–state interaction in the public school system.  Instructions Write a 5–7 page paper in which you: Identify the key issues in the court rulings and how they have shaped public education today.
