You have just been elected to be the next secretary-general of the United Nations, and you have been charged to end the conflict in the Middle East.Which of the items listed below would be the first issue you would resolve so the Middle East might start on the path toward a productive, peaceful future? Why did you choose that issue? Or, is there another issue, not listed, that needs attention before these? Be sure to identify any important significance between the issue and the geographic location in which it stems.? Palestine and Israel? Sunni and Shiite? Oil and the West? What is the common factor that links together all materialist approaches?-Do you see any differences between the Annales approach (Social History), and the class-based approach of Marxists (Historical Materialists) in how they interpret the historical past?-All historical approaches are a response to earlier approaches, so how did these materialist approaches challenged the political history narrative used by the Empiricists?  Also, what trend from the Empiricists did they continue?
