Women Convention
From the book “Suffrage, Women’s long battle for the vote” by Ellen Duboise. Starting from the first women convention in 1848 until Suffrage was passed by the 19th amendment in 1920. What were the major forces against suffrage? How did strategies developed eventually prove successful? Who were the key players?
Classical Liberal

If you cite sources, you need to show that as you would a normal paper; however, you are not required to do any research for this and the expectation is that you can find the answer fully in the material provided in the unit. There are no points for having done outside research for this question and you can earn an A without outside sources. Type your answers using a computer, not a phone. You can either type below the question on this document or in a blank document. Be sure to save your answers to your computer in Word. Just typing into this downloaded document will not automatically save your answers on D2L. You need to save what you type as you would a regular paper, then upload that saved document to the Assignments folder in D2L. What insight does this story provide about Portland and the Pacific Northwest? Were there aspects of this story that were confusing to you? Were there things that surprised you? Were there parts of the podcast that you disagreed with? Was the story told in way that was effective and engaging? You don’t necessarily respond to all of these questions in your post. You could choose to focus on just one or two. How can you apply some of the lessons from this particular history to other themes and issues we’ve explored this term? Operation Geronimo
Persuasive essay as to “why President Obama had the legal right to execute Operation Geronimo.” Analyze and evaluate the major points in the case study. Fully explain your stance on the topic. You are required to give an in depth introduction of your topic, provide transitional sentences from one topic to the next. The persuasive essay will be no less than three pages and no more than five pages, this does not include the APA format title and reference page. Provide a total of three references for your references page.
Anthony Brindisi
This final part of the project will assess how well you did in predicting the outcome of the race. Compare your predictions and explain how close your predictions came to the actual results of the race. Were there any factors (turnout, exit polls) that helped to support your predictions or explained the difference in the results? What did you learn from this assignment? How did this project help you to relate/understand the Inside Campaigns book (discuss something specific to the book).
