In one of the readings from this week, Briody, Meerwarth Pester and Trotter (2012) discussed how organizational culture was described through stories and an evaluation of the situation occurred after the story was told. For this blog, describe your organizational culture by telling a story that exemplifies your corporate culture (or if you do not currently work for an organization, a past company or one you research). For example, a technology firm in Colorado holds their meetings at different diners and invites family members because family is important to them. If you were giving a talk to a broader audience at your organization, how can the story you shared drive home the corporate culture that exists in your organization?

Cultural Considerations in Learning and Development You are currently the head trainer of a global U.S. automobile manufacturer. The organization has decided to expand its operations into the Eastern market such as China, Japan, and Singapore. The vice president of human resources has asked that you create a proposal outlining your plans for a new hire orientation program for the Eastern market. In your proposal, include the elements listed below. Discuss how the Eastern market will potentially view new hire orientation, and then discuss two to three ways to tailor the new hire orientation to this market. Discuss how the Eastern market perceives the relationship between the learner and trainer. Discuss who will be responsible for giving the new hire orientation to the Eastern employees and how the orientation will be delivered. For example, will a local who is familiar with the language deliver a live orientation training session, or will it be a remote training session with a translator? Will it be some other delivery method? Once the method is chosen, discuss why this method is appropriate for the given market. This is a way to apply what you are learning to a team that you currently lead, or to which you belong. This should be no more than 2 double spaced pages each time and should cover one or two concepts that are contained in the reading for the session, discuss how you see it in action with your work team and include any suggestions that you have for the improvement (should there be areas that need attention).

Next, create a word cloud graphic organizer. A word cloud is a visual depiction, in this case of Mark’s Gospel from your Strauss reading in the previous activities. To create your word cloud, make a list of 10–15 key words or phrases that explain or relate to the content presented in what you’ve read and watched. Be sure to explore the tools that allow you to highlight important terms/ideas by using color, shape, font, and size differentiation. Additionally, note the process to export your word cloud for submission. Be sure to export your image as a PDF. Helpful tips: You may wish to make more important words larger. To do this, you should repeat those words more times in the text box on the website. If you wish to keep certain words of a phrase together in the final word cloud image, you should use a “~” between the words instead of spaces in the text box. After you have created and exported your word cloud, write a 1- to 2-paragraph rationale of your choices regarding the sizes, colors, shapes, and words/phrases that you chose. This rationale should demonstrate your basic understanding of Mark and its implications in our study.

Assume you are applying for a senior-level position.  The company has asked all applicants to submit an essay  describing their ethics philosophy and principles.  They have emphasized that clarity and succinctness are more highly valued than length. RESEARCH ABSTRACT INSTRUCTIONS Students will prepare a one page (250-300 word) abstract that proposes their chosen organization (use only USA headquarter Organizations) for the paper due in Week/Module 7 (Attached for Reference).
