For Nanoparticles discuss PPE, discuss gloves for example, but is there one type of glove that is better than another?  If so, why? the need of respirators. etc.  4. propose some OSHA standard based on your research….recommend a PEL (permissible exposure limit) and discuss what you chose that based on your research.  5. Would you recommend other limits such as a STEL (short term exposure limit) or ceiling limit.  6. Discuss how employers can sample to monitor employee exposures.  Be specific, will personal air monitor pumps be used?  If so, what flow rate and media?

Purpose & Rationale –description of why this presentation should be developed and presented to individuals ages 20-35 who work in an office setting. Write this section as though you are trying to convince an outsider of the need for this stress relief at work; use it as a justification for the program. -Use statistics whenever possible to support the rationale. -Minimum of 3 professional references, cited APA style. -Include identification and description of health behavior theory and constructs to be applied to the program. Feel free to “mix and match” or choose a specific theory to apply. -Likely to be 3 paragraphs in length.  A bit longer is ok, but it’s not a full literature review.

ASSIGNMENT: Write an essay of 1,000 words that examines how our American culture differentiates between male and female roles and argues that Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s arguments do or do not hold true for Americans. Use MLA format, include a Works Cited page, and incorporate at least one outside source you find on the internet. BRAINSTORMING: As you read Adichie’s essay, “A Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions” (p. 501), note the author’s claim that “the idea of ‘gender roles’ is absolute nonsense.” Consider her examples supporting this claim and how gender roles affect both female and male children. Note Adichie’s argument that toys for girls tend to be passive and toys for boys tend to be active. Is this like assigning boys the color blue and girls the color pink? Furthermore, how do we praise and criticize women differently than men? Explore the way gender roles affect U.S. citizens, pointing out important examples of contrasting female versus male gender roles, and relate your observations to Adichie’s argument. Is the author correct to argue against gender roles here in the United States? RESEARCH: Locate and include at least one outside source from the internet. Your source must be reliable and authoritative (no blogs, personal websites, or other unreliable sources). Choose scholarly sources only, such as a research essay published by a university press or an article published in a reputable venue, such as The New York Times, Psychology Today, or Time. One acid test of whether you can meet this outcome is to · Think of someone you know well – could be a relative or close friend – who does not share your work-related interests · Tell them the key things that you have learned in this module 1 (summarise it down to 2 or 3 key points) · Ensure that they can understand what you have told them – do this by asking them questions

The National Advisory Council on Nurse Education and Practice (2016) notes that “… healthcare organizations need nurses capable of gathering and analyzing population-level data, promoting wellness and disease prevention in the community, adopting and disseminating best practices for population health, and identifying patients who may benefit from greater outreach efforts to promote health screening and related primary care services.” (p.5) Reflect on the statement above, key course concepts (SEE ATTACHED FOR THESE), and how the study of population health has (or has not) changed the way in which you view the role of nursing in advocating for and assuring the health of populations. 1.) What impacts might a population-focused approach have on your practice or community? (Write from a home hospice/home health RN’s perspective, as I already work within the community and advocate for the health of many populations. This course enriched the knowledge that I had and helped integrate many concepts and skills.) 2.) Where might advocacy as a nurse leader make the most difference to vulnerable populations?  PLEASE SEE RUBRIC ATTACHED FOR SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS AND ASK ANY QUESTIONS NEEDED.
