Discuss the concept of masculinity as it applied to English gentlemen of the 1900s (pages 197-206 of Studying Culture). Drawing on the documentary Cocaine Cowboys, which we watched earlier in the semester, discuss how masculinity is defined in the documentary – what kinds of behaviors make someone masculine?
