Discussion Board: Chapters Three, Four & Five Before you post anything make sure you’ve read the instructions about discussion posts on the syllabus, read the week two modules and completed the assigned reading for this week* Chapter Three Take two elements of human culture discussed in the textbook and apply this to our society. In other words, what do these elements look like here in the US? Your textbook asserts that cultures are always evolving. Provide at least one example of a specific element of  our culture that is changing due to the current pandemic.   Chapter Four Which of the three theoretical perspectives on society best describes our society today? Be sure to provide an explanation to support your position. Provide one example of an achieved and ascribed status that you hold and the roles that are attached to them. Include a discussion of how you’ve experienced role strain or role conflict. Chapter Five  Pick one of the four major agents of socialization and discuss your own experience of socialization. Be sure to mention the specific elements of culture (e.g., norms, values, symbols/signs) that you were being taught, how you were being taught and what you learned about them.   Reply to this post and the post of a classmate by the due date.

Briefly describe each of the three roles in Bernard’s Discrimination Model (teacher/educator, consultant, and counselor). Explain how and at what point in the supervisory process you would introduce the topic of vicarious trauma with a new supervisee in Bernard’s three roles. Given the following trauma cases, (violence against women, child sexual abuse, and survivors of a deadly house fire), use Bernard’s Discrimination Model to explain how you would educate a supervisee about the potential risks for developing vicarious trauma when working with the survivors of these three cases. Explain how your past experience with youth and/or Elder oppression is similar to or different from your colleagues My past experienc with elder oppression is similar age discrimatation in workplace. They are laid elders people because of their age. people have this assumation elder are weak which airheaded.Part of this prejudice relates to physical appearance(levy, 2018).      Describe how issues might reveal themselves in your future social work practice in a manner similar to or different from that which your colleagues anticipate. Ageism in the workplace is entirely unjustified except perhaps for jobs that are physically demanding,and, in nursing, limits workforces and the use of available expertise.Due to ageism and the increasing proportion of older workers, laws were passed in the US to prevent age discrimination in the workplace.
