Review the following statements: I believe that it is ethical to truly analyze the motives of a career move. If one is advancing professionally, I think that one must reflect how this will affect the people and situations in which they are currently involved. If, over time, you have built a foundation upon which the place that you are working currently can rest upon, then your legacy is the ticket to consciously know that it is the right moment. However, if your motives arise from egotistical impulses, then it is unethical. Rebore mentions, “western civilization has a long history of glorifying individualism that neglects the social aspects of individual action and omissions.” In conclusion, I think that career advancement is a matter of commutative justice where you must consider the actor and the individuals it will affect. Philosophers of the past influence contemporary ethical opinion through the previous writings being the foundation on which we arrive at what is considered legal and ethical. These writings are the beginning of a collective agreement on standards, forming the base of contemporary ethical opinion that holds what was once the established order. What happens when it is discovered years afterwards that an individual’s motives were unethical? Respond to each of the above statements in the Ethical Decisions and submit by The Deadline.

The word count can be divided between the two.  I will be posting them individually a day apart.  As we conclude this course we have come to realize that the relationship between any religion and society is very complicated.  But there does seem to be agreement that religion is not just an individual experience, that it has a social dimension.  What specific ideas in your religious tradition seem important for a just and vibrant society?  This can include beliefs, symbols, ethical mandates, or other insights that are crucial for the well-being of a society.  Elaborate. There is not one answer–I would like for you to share a one page reflection on which arguments that are presented above have convinced you about the nature of violence? What can you take from these diverse viewpoints as you form your own opinion about human violence and its complicated challenges?
