What is globalization?  What are the views of the proponents and critics of globalization?  What is your view of globalization?

A rite of passage is an event that marks a person’s progress from one status to another. It is a universal phenomenon which can show anthropologists what social hierarchies, values and beliefs are important in specific cultures. Rites of passage are often ceremonies surrounding events such as other milestones are considered important rites of passage for persons of their respective religions.s within puberty, coming of age, marriage and death. Initiation ceremonies such as baptism, confirmation and bar or bat Mitzva I would like you to write and describe an event that you have gone through that has changed your perception of yourself, your perception by those around you, and any new roles, expectations that came along with your Rite of Passage. How has this passage changed how you interact with others? How has it changed who you interact with? Please use concepts and terms from the text to better explain your experiences. For example; you may describe when you had your first child and the new roles that came with being a mother or father. You may describe when you got married, graduated from high school, got your driver’s license, etc.

According to Marx, what about capitalism makes jobs like the ones described in the documentary Fast Food Women possible? Is alienated labor a function of low-wage labor? Are there jobs in which alienation does not take place according to Marx? What kind of jobs are these and what are the conditions of these jobs? Describe cultural intelligence (CQ) and why it is important for leaders to have CQ in addition to EQ. How can leaders increase their own cultural intelligence? What are the added considerations leaders must have for coaching someone that is not of the same culture?

Worldview Paper: In this assignment, the student will attempt to answer the question “What is my worldview and how did I come to this perspective?” Questions that may be addressed in this paper are: What is prime reality—the really real? What is the nature of external reality, that is, the world around us? What is a human being? (a machine made of meat?) What happens to a person at death? Why is it possible to know anything at all? How do we know what is right or wrong? What is the meaning of human history? What personal, life-orienting core commitments are consistent with the worldview? This should be a first-person paper because it is about the student’s own philosophical perspective. There should be a least four pages of content. Though this is not a research paper, if you quote or cite any resource, you must cite the resource in an academically acceptable manner using the MLA documentation style.

After reading Chapter 3 and 4, please respond critically to the  questions provided. Review the section on pages 55 to 56 titled, “Self-Esteem.” Review the section on pages 73 to 76 of your text that begins with the heading, “Self-Concept, Perception, and Technology.”  How much time do you spend on social media each day? What effect do you feel social networking has on a person’s self esteem? For example, “Does it make the user feel better or worse? You must incorporate two textbook concepts in the initial post, using APA formatted in-text citations. You must cite at least one outside scholarly source–ebook, journal article, film, etc. and cite in APA format.
