Communication System

Country: ISRAELYou are to write a 6-page paper explaining the media/communication system in a country outside the United States.  Each of you will be assigned a particular country to research.  I will randomly select countries and assign one to each of you. See your assigned country below.  Please do not ask to be assigned another country than the one that is listed.Please tell me about the media systems in your particular countries.  Consider the following in your paper:Evolution of communication in the countryAre there any worldwide historical contributions?Economic framework of the country: What are the major economic sources to support the media?NewspaperBroadcast Systems (Radio/TV)Press/Media LawsAre the media government controlled?What is the newspaper circulation and/or broadcast listenership/viewership?What is the quality of journalism in your country?Is there censorship of the media?Attitudes toward foreign media (if any)?Social media advancements and concerns?Is there anything on the horizon with regard to communication?Anything else you might find interestingDo not write your paper simply answering the above questions.  This is an academic paper.  You may use headings but not bullet points with the questions above. Remember that academic papers, especially at this level, require thoughtful, original discussion.** You must have a title page with your name (this does not count as one of the 6 pages).** You must use at least three other sources in your paper.  These sources may be newspaper/internet articles, academic research articles, etc.  Wikipedia is not an academic source. When citing other sources, you must do so in APA (American Psychological Association) style.  APA is not to be confused with AP (Associated Press) style.  APA style is the preferred writing style for academic research.  When citing other sources, you must also have a bibliography page (this does not count as one of the 6 pages).  The entries in your bibliography page must be in alphabetical order.** Your six page paper must cover most of the sixth page, however, if there are a few lines missing at the end of the page that is sufficient. Your paper’s lines must be double-spaced.  Use 12-point font in Times New Roman or Cambria style, with one-inch margins side to side, top to bottom. Do not triple space between paragraphs.  Three points will be counted off each time you triple space between paragraphs.  Two points will be deducted for each time that you write in first or third person.  Write only in third person.** Four points will be counted against you for each misspelled word, grammatical mistake, and/or awkward sentence.  You are in graduate school and should be able to write well.  Please refer to the proper usage of subject/verb agreements, proper usage of antecedent/pronoun agreements, and proper usage of the apostrophe found in the Course Documents module of Canvas.
