Critical Writing
Now that you have completed three writing projects and all the assigned reading in Approaching Great Ideas, it is time to reflect on what you have learned in written form. Format this piece as you have done for the previous essays and answer the following prompt in 1000-1250 words (approximately 4-5 pages): The title of this course is Argumentative and Critical Writing, and you have been introduced to various strategies to become a better critical reader and writer as a college student. Take this opportunity to reflect on your learning experiences, which is known as meta-cognition. What are the most significant things you have learned in English 3? How do you know that you have learned them? Why is this learning important to you? Be specific in your reflections and refer directly to the course materials that have made a difference in your learning processes. Be prepared to cite from the readings in Approaching Great Ideas, but you may also refer to any of the activities from the Canvas website, including instructional videos, quizzes, blogs, peer reviews, and/or essay assignments. There is no need for a works cited page, but you do need to use in-text citations when you cite from the written texts.
