[ORDER SOLUTION] Current Event Analysis

Current events are a vital part of the study of government and politics because they help us better understand the world around us and help us connect real-world events to the course content.  Your task for this assignment is—through a paper—to choose a current event and analyze it.   For your paper:   -Your source will likely be an article from a media outlet.  Read it thoroughly and concentrate specifically on important passages (who, what, when, where, how, why).  Keep in mind that I might not even know about this event (or know very little about it).  Inform me!   -Analyze the issue.  Remember that analyzing something means that you are breaking it down and exploring it on a deep level, as opposed to just superficially.   -Decide your point of view.  How do you feel about the issue?  Why do you feel that particular way?  You are expected to give a thoughtful, reasoned opinion.   -What questions about the issue still need to be answered?   Things to keep in mind:   – Make sure that your event has a connection to Texas.  This does not have to be a strong connection, but there does need to be some tie-in.   -The source that you are using must be reputable.  If you have a question about the reputability of your source, email me the link and I’ll tell you whether you should use it or not.    -There is no minimum word count for this assignment.  Through your paper, you must demonstrate that you have a firm understanding of the article (or other source) that you analyzed, the issue/event, and its connection to Texas.
