IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING WORD LIMIT REQUIREMENTS: Please note that each and every assignment has its own word limit. Sustainability The idea of sustainability for public health is looking at the long-term process of the programs operation. Therefore, for the program to be effective and successful for a long period of time, it needs to promote stability which can be achieved through well-trained staff, having appropriate funding, leaders, resources, data management, and partnerships (Fertman, & Allensworth, 2017). Discussion Sustainability and Cost Benefits Analysis Cost-Benefits Analysis Cost-benefit analysis is a process that allows individuals to know whether the cost of the action will be beneficial. The process allows individuals to make predictions on whether it is worth it to take the risk in investing in the specific action. For example, my proposed program requires buying gym equipment and creating a personalized gym at the facility so that the members do not need to go to a local gym. However, the cost of getting a personalized gym is approximately $10,000 and $500 to maintain a year, whereas the local gyms are $25 a month per person. Realistically, the $10,000 looks like a lot of money, but it would be a one-time investment, whereas the $25 per month per person would eventually cost more, as the goal is for the program to gain more members and last longer. Therefore, if the program gains 20 people within the first year the cost of training them at a local gym would be $7,200 in the first year. However, if they gain 10 more individuals which makes the total members 30, it will cost $9,000 the second year. Therefore, in the 2 nd year, the local gym would cost $9,000, whereas the programs personalized gym would be only $500 for maintenance. Therefore, the cost-benefit analysis would state that the $10,000 personal gym would be more effective for the sustainability of the program in terms of funding and resources. Reference Fertman, C.
