Doctor Sleep

For this discussion forum, which is our last discussion forum of the semester, I want you to imagine you are a customer, writing a review on Amazon or another similar website. Write a review of the novel, Doctor Sleep, by Stephen King. Tell other potential buyers why they should or should not buy this novel. Be careful of spoilers! This can be very upsetting for some readers and,ultimately, it is not the purpose of a review. Be honest. Give enough details, based on your own reading of the novel, to persuade other buyers that they should definitely go out and purchase this novel or they should not waste their money. Perhaps you didn’t love the novel but you didn’t hate it either. Explain to other potential buyers what they might possibly see in the novel that you didn’t. Imagine this as if you are really purchasing the novel and remember that many of the customers reviewing this novel will probably be fans of Stephen King. Try to be as fair as possible and think about what they might appreciate that didn’t work for you.  As you can see, this is a very opinionated response but fairness is very important. Keep your responses professional and precise. I know we have all read the irate customer review that goes way beyond the lines of what is appropriate and becomes offensive rather than helpful. That is not what you should post here. Consider the most persuasive reviews you have read and write a response that is convincing, controlled and critical. Reviews should be between 300-500 words.
