How Juvenile Correction can be improved to ensure that they help the youths change their behavior. The research will investigate how juvenile correction can be improved to ensure that they help the youths change their behavior for the better. These correction centers should shift from confining and punishing the youths to ensuring they facilitate how these youths become better and reliable people in society when they get released (Ndrecka et al. 2020). Youths whose behavior needs correcting can be taken to the juvenile center still, the juvenile’s aim should ensure they improve their behavior for the better, not just confining them without good behavior training. Juvenile correction centers should no longer focus on punishing the youths in these correction centers; instead, there should be a platform where they will be given training on how to own up their behavior and assist them in changing their behavior. The research should address how juvenile correction centers will achieve this. The study will also focus on how this change should be done and outline the benefits of this new strategy. Statement of Objectives Improvement of the Juvenile Correctional Centers The research will be focused on the improvement of the juvenile correction centers to enable the youths not just to get punished for their wrongdoing in these prisons but also to be put into a correction channel that focuses on behavior change. This will help enhance positive change among the youths. Some other objectives of the research will be: Show how juvenile correction centers will benefit the young people regarding improving into becoming better places of correction. Look into the issues concerned with the current correction centers and what needs to be done to make juvenile sentence centers better places of correcting the youths. Formulating specific ways in which juvenile correction centers can focus on improving these places. Proving a way in which youths will be provided with a platform that focuses on changing their behavior rather than punishing the Juveniles. There is a need to ensure that there is a chance in how these youths are corrected in Juvenile correction places. Failing to rectify this illness will prove juvenile efforts to improve behavior, to be in vain (Jolivette and Kumm). The people in juvenile but without mental illness might fail to improve their behavior because they are mixed with sick people who are not being helped improve. Summer of the Research question The need to improve juvenile correctional centers. There is a need to improve juvenile correctional centers. This is because there have been many issues with how youths have been corrected in these centers. Studies indicate that society has not achieved a lot in correcting these youths in these centers (Harouni et al.). These youths hardly change their behaviors even after leaving these correction centers. There is a need to investigate which area of correction needs to be improved and which need to be discarded as far as these youths’ behavioral change is concerned. The research question aligns with my study’s purpose in that there has been a need to improve how juvenile correction centers operate in correcting the youths. Some delinquent adolescent behaviors do not necessarily merit intercession. Assisting the youths to recognize and own up to their actions rather than judging them and quickly detaining them will be a humane step. Improving these corrections centers to help our youths achieve more from these centers.
