[Get Solution]the film and the music industries
Whichever topic you choose, your essay must make reference to materials and subjects covered in the first semester of the module. You are encouraged when writing your essay to make connections across the module, but dont try to cover too much in one essay: keep it focussed. Try to put together an argument but don’t write a string of unsubstantiated opinions. Back up your opinions with appropriate audiovisual examples and avoid overly complex or long sentences. Try also to avoid short paragraphs (they suggest your thinking is not joined up) and remember to ensure that spelling, grammar and punctuation are correct. Your essay should use appropriate referencing, a full bibliography (and discography and filmography/videography if you have discussed examples in detail) and make it clear when any information you use is taken from other sources. Avoid overusing internet sources: we expect you to look at articles and scholarly books. An exception to this would be where you are using internet sources as primary sources for the purpose of discussing the mediation of popular music online; such distinctions should become clear to you during the module.
