You are to read about conducting a three-day diet record in your text book and monitor yourself for a three day period (Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) recording all that you consume on the attached template, be sure to put your last name in the file name. Try to be honest and not under report. Include all alcohol, coffee drinks, protein shakes, food, etc… Try to find the nutritional values (caloric value) and estimate portion size for each food. Create a list in excel or word that lists all of your intakes, their caloric values, macro-nutrients and totals for the three days. You are then to compare your results with your estimated caloric needs that can be found on pg. 272 of your text book. Finally you are to write a short synopsis (one paragraph) of your findings and your reaction to them. You must compare your results to your estimated caloric needs and discuss your thoughts on the comparison. Please ensure your report is neat and easy to follow. you are only required to do this for two days (Sunday & Monday or Friday & Saturday or a holiday with the day before or after). If you do an additional day you will be awarded up to 15 EC points.
