Selecting an EHR for a Dermatology Practice. You have been hired as the practice administrator of an eight-physician dermatology practice. The practice has made the strategic decision to invest in selecting and implementing an electronic health record (EHR) system, while also replacing their current practice management system. The practice wishes to take advantage of the CMS EHR Incentive program and demonstrate meaningful use. The CEO, Dr. Dan Brown, is skeptical about the practices ability to find a suitable EHR to meet its needs. Hes heard other colleagues gripe about their EHR system and is fearful it will impede efficiency within the practice. The newest member of the practice, Dr. Pam Martin, used an EHR during her residency training, and she is a big champion of the effort.
