In this paper you will discuss when the movement appeared, what demands the movement made and how the movement evolved over time. If the movement is no longer inactive you should discuss when they became inactive. You do not need to explain why any of these things happen, just what happened. You should focus on the movement, not the policies that the movement supported. 3 pages double spaced.Specific Content:Background of the movement: Provide context to what happened when the movement first appeared. Was there a change in policy? Some sort of disaster that preceded it?Organizations/Events: Provide information on several organizations or events that are important to the movement. These should be social movement organizations and events that the movement participated (not legislation). Rubric provides detail on what information you should have for the org/event.Demands of the movement: What did the movement want? Did the demands ever change?Where is the movement now: Is it still active? Is it inactive? If inactive, when did it fade out? As academic articles these will be less about history but can still be helpful.Google Scholar is the most useful academic research engine there is.
