History of the Mongols

Use eight specific selections from the readings to explain why the Mongols were so successful in both conquering and ruling others. You may find it useful to compare some of their techniques and organization with those of other civilizations. Make sure you focus on how they RULED; 5-6 of your quotations should come from Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World and The Secret History of the Mongol Queens. Remember to provide appropriate references, including page number (from the original, not the UP, where possible). Give the selection (1-3 sentences, with references) then write 2-3 sentences explaining the significance of the selection.
