In this post, you have two options, but no matter which option you choose, you MUST respond to a classmate’s post. You do not need to do both options. Just make sure that you clarify which option you are doing as you reply to this board.
Option 1: Explain how Huck, in the first 10 chapters, rejects society’s demands & ideals and eventually learns the true value of a human and of friendship based on his interactions with Jim. Option 2: Discuss the novel Huck Finn and its American Realism traits. (Here’s a quick recap of Realism traits: Realism Refresher from DVUSD (Links to an external site.)). Be sure to discuss the social and economic class differences as well as the differing philosophical views on slavery.
