Imago Dei in Healthcare 1
Imago Dei in Healthcare| The Christian concept Imago Dei means the image of God. Meaning we are created in the image and likeness of God as described in the 1st Testimate of the Bible Genesis 1:27. (Christianity.com Editorial Staff, 2019) We are all a part of one supreme being and not separate.
If Humankind is created in the image and likeness of God, this also implies that as humans we are held to the same divine virtues and ethical obligations. Imago Dei in Healthcare hold us to the highest moral standards in upholding these virtues and applying these ethics. A brief was held with the entire team to ensure the ethical implications were understood and accepted. It is vital as healthcare providers that we know fully our own personal ethical views prior to having to make these decisions on an emergency basis as required by Imago Dei in Healthcare
